Pretty good. Can’t complain it’s a fast food place in a mall. Got the Teriyaki Beef and Chicken combo Plate. Cost me $ 10 and some change. The portion was big enough to feed the husband and me. Which was pretty good for the price we paid. The guy who takes your order doesn’t speak to good of English and has no patience for first timers like me. I walked up to the place and he demanded my order before I got a chance to look at the menu. But I enjoyed my food. Next time I will chose another place to eat though.

Seriously… These people have some of the best ingredient, healthy menu, and cheap prices but one of the worst part about this place is their cook. They are a Japanese American restaurant and their worker are not speaking either languages. I specifically told them to not give me too much teriyaki sauce because every time they make them. My box are filled with so much sauce that all I tastes are the sweet sugary teriyaki sauce. It’s too damn much. Stop pouring the sauce everywhere and taste your own cooking. Also, learn English and stop playing loud music when you cook. Nobody wants to scream at you to give me «less teriyaki sauce» and even have your friend who can translate Spanish to you to tell you to give me less teriyaki sauce and in the end your manager have to apologize to me that you have give me too much teriyaki sauce.

Shout out early 2000’s Asian Mall Foods! Recommended: Chicken Teriyaki + any rice, it won’t matter. Just Meat and rice. Don’t get the veggies. They grill the meat right there and so its guaranteed pretty hot n’ ready. The meat was actually seasoned/marinated really well– on point. Skip the trip to a fancy place and load up here.

Food has no flavor and took forever to get. The little guys cooking were more interested in trying to entertain with banging spatulas and twirling spoon ladles than cooking the no flavor food. 8 other choices in the mall– go elsewhere.

The cashier went straight from the register to the grill and warmed up the already cooked food I ordered. I was livid. But, i ate it anyway

It’s good but if you order the beef you get a very small serving. Order the chicken, they fill that up.

had the chicken teriyaki double meat with steamed rice and veggies. wow! that was one huge portion and it tasted pretty good! lots of rice, a sprinkling of veggies, and tons of meat. service was quick enough. they cook as you order. we also tried the spring roll but it was just ok. don’t think I’ll be ordering that again. I’m sure I’ll be having lunch here again.

Bad customer service and food takes too long to make !!! Went to Japan café with my two year old daughter and knowing that they take a long time to make the food when I was second in line, I told the cook to go ahead and start our order with the order in front of us telling him exactly what I was ordering. One simple meal. He said he would do it. I then bought the meal and went over to pick it up. The cook served up the three meals in front of us but did not make our meal. I asked him where our meal was, he said I am going to make it right now. I had to stand there with my daughter waiting another 5 – 10 minutes while he made the next one for us… why did he not make 4 meals like I asked and he said he would… ahhhh… I told the manager and he said nothing he did not care of even try and make it right… If your kids are hungry and you don’t want to wait forever for your food don’t go there… they don’t understand kids or customer service… food takes too long to make… I would much rather go somewhere else in the food court to eat…

I’m hoping when I had food here it was an off day. I ordered my meal and they got it wrong. I move over to where they are making my food and they gave me the wrong thing. They go to fix it and they almost did it wrong, again. It took a good 10 minutes to get my food, at the mall! My husband ordered and ate his food from another place before I went to sit down with my food. And it wasn’t nearly as good as Sarku Japan at Barton Creek Mall. Meh.

Back home in MA there was a similar place as this one. Different name and look of menu but same styled cook and experience. I quite liked that one and I quite like this one as well. I always get chicken teriyaki with steamed rice and veggie. The chicken isn’t heavily breaded or fatty like most food court places that carry food like this. What I like is that you can watch them cook your meat, shrimp or even veggies most of the time. It’s nice knowing it just hasn’t been sitting there waiting to be scooped, it’s freshly cooked. I always ask for one extra scoop of sauce and done, delicious and about to devour! Everyone was quite friendly as well!

We have now tried the Japan Café twice. The cooks there are very friendly, and quite helpful. I ordered their Teriyaki chicken, and it was extremely good! Their vegetables were fresh, rice was amazing, and their service was great. Food seems much lighter than the food from Panda Express. I’m a fan!

I tried the Terryaki Beef with Fried Rice. The price was very reasonable but I was most impressed when I watched them come out and cook the meat in front of me on their hibachi. This wasn’t some sketchy hidden-cooking mall restaurant! The food was tasty, cooked to that perfect edge of crispy without being overcooked. Portions were nice although I think I’ll probably pay for the double-meat next time because I couldn’t get enough.
