Jonathan Buten, MD

I’m a foodie — so this is not the type of review that I would typically be motivated to write on Unilocal.However, my experience with Dr. Buten was so good, I feel that every woman in the area should know about him.
I recently found out that I needed to have a hysterectomy, and my anxiety started to skyrocket from that moment forth. Fortunately, a friend of a friend recommended Dr. Buten, and he really put my mind at ease. He took his time and explained my options and what I should expect from the procedure, which really made a difference in how I felt about having the surgery.
Not only does he employ the latest techniques in the field, but he really has a wonderful down to earth manner. The office staff is very friendly and efficient, and appointments run on time, which I totally appreciate.
I am also very impressed with the Cedar Park Medical Center that he is affiliated with.
My surgery went very well, and I will remain a patient of Dr. Buten’s!

Do you cringe when you think about the need to see a gynecologist? Even worse, can you imagine having to undergo gynecological surgical procedures? When faced with the need to take care of my gynecology needs, I did the old fashioned thing, that is, I asked ladies I know who they would suggest. Amazingly, in one day, two friends both recommended Dr. Jonathan Buten. Both had very impressive recommendations. When I went to my own primary care physician, I was very happy to learn that Dr. Buten was also one of her recommended physicians.
A little over 8 months later, I’ve been through a great deal of events with Dr. Buten, ranging from basic checkup, diagnostic testing, to most recently, major surgery and I feel it is important to place my artifact into this digital format to share with others who face similar daunting decisions.
Dr. Buten is personable, and interacted with me in a warm and caring manner. He is very thorough in every aspect of his work. He used technology to show me what was going on with my «innards» and explained the options. He listened to my questions, gave thoughtful answers, and I always felt that we were a team working towards my best outcome.
Additionally, the staff is helpful and friendly. Star is a welcoing first point of contact for the office.
When faced with making the decision for gynecological care, I highly encourage you to see Dr. Buten.

I have been Dr. Buten’s patient for over 15 years. He has a great bedside manner and has a genuine concern for my and my family’s well being. (Including a referal for my husband.) And he always makes a point to ask if my GP has taken care of ordering regular yearly tests for my cronic condition. If for whatever reason these test were not ordered, Dr. Buten will do so and send copies to my GP. I feel comfortable talking to him about all my issues and recommend him highly.

Dr. Buten and his staff are wonderful, caring, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and efficient. I had some issues that required surgery to repair. The whole process from diagnosis, to the actual surgery and after care was very smooth. I found Dr. Buten to have a very good bedside manner and genuine concern for me as his patient. I found him to be very straight forward and matter of fact in a comfortable manner. I am now as good as new and will be returning to him for my general gynecological needs going forward. In my opinion Dr. Buten is an amazing doctor and the results I have had Post-​Op have exceeded my expectations. The best part? I don’t have to drive all the way downtown for this level of care, he is right here in Cedar Park!
