I have no complaints about the work my stylist did. HOWEVER, I had a HUGE problem with scheduling. I would set an appointment, get there on time and left sitting for 30 minutes or longer. This was every single appointment, first time I let it slide, second time I was not so happy then the third time I had to cancel another appointment that afternoon because she had double booked. When I had opted not to have color done she was not happy and stated that she wished I would have told her ahead of time because now she was going to have to wait around for another client. I almost lost it, but I did not, she wanted me to be respectful of her time but she was not of mine. I set an appointment, I do not like being treated like a walk in. Therefore, I did not say anything there are too many salons in Cedar Park/​Leander I found another place to go and left a review here. Would have made no difference they work the way they want in there. And have no respect for the clients time that PAY them for the work they do. UNREAL.

If you’re looking for a skilled, awesome stylist and colorist, I highly recommend Katie. I’ve never had anyone do my highlight and root touchups so well. She’s seriously the best and such a sweetie.
Love this place and so glad I found such a great salon! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. There’s also a cute boutique in the front of the store worth checking out.

I had the greatest experience at Southern Charm Salon! It’s really fun, and has a trendy atmosphere.
Cari Reynolds did a balayage, caramel ombré on my hair, and I am so in love with the way it looks.

I had a haircut, highlights, lowlights, and a spray tan. The highlights turned out really blocky (I expressed I liked natural looking thin highlights) and the spray tan was spotted and uneven. I’m not fond of their salon services, however; they have a boutique which offers really cute items and they sell great hair products.

Came into the salon this even at 6:15pm for my 6:30pm as my appointment confirmation said to come 15 minutes early. My stylist came out and asked if i had an apt, i said yes at 6:30pm and showed her my confirmation emails and texts. She said she thought i cancelled so she took another client. Then she checked her phone and saw I had NOT cancelled. She told me she was finishing up with a client and would probably be another 30 minutes. I thought no biggie since im 15 mins early. She ask if i wanted to reschedule I said no I’d wait. After waiting for an hour i walk back to her area (chair) and she was still curling her clients hair about half way through and I told her i was leaving. She told me she was «almost» done but i could clearly see she had ½ a head left to curl.
I am new to the Austin area and was looking for a salon for my regular cuts, styles and maintenance. This completely turned me off and i will not be back. There are WAY to many salons in the area to settle on horrible customer service like this. I would not recommend this salon.

Saw Andrea today and as always she did a great job. Been seeing her for about 6 months and she rocks it every time I see her.

I saw Elle Ivy for the first time today, for Color, Highlights, Cut and Bow out. She was so professional and super sweet. It’s hard to find a good stylist these days and I feel I struck gold in finding Elle. I left loving my new hairdo, Thanks Elle!!!

Elle ivy was wonderful! I wasn’t perfectly clear what I wanted to do with my hair at first, so we did a consultation to start. She was informative, explaining everything that she was going to do. Super easy to talk with and great hair skills. Will return !

Christy is an amazing!!! she has an eye for style and perfection. I have found a stylist for life, she isn’t just a hair dresser she is a educated, professional stylist who is down to earth and knows current style.

Elle did a great job with my haircut. I had a blah, mom haircut going in, and she gave me a sexy cut! I love it, and she’s super sweet, easy to chat with, reasonably priced, and has great personal style herself. Glad I finally found someone who cuts great hair! I’ll be back for color in the next month. :)

I saw Elle Ivy last week and she’s going to be my hairstylist from now on! I moved here a year and a half ago and went to Ulta to get my haircut since I wasn’t sure where else to go. The girl butchered my hair. Honestly, I had a shaggy dog haircut which was supposed to be a bob. After growing it out a few months, I was ready to fix it. I found Elle. We wish we would have taken before and after photos but basically, my haircut by Elle turned out better than I even expected. Honestly I’m so happy. She’s extremely personable and gives provides awesome service. The shop itself is very comfortable and cute. They offer all sorts of services. I’d give her/​the shop more stars if I could!

After coming here a little over a year now, I’ve recently started to experience problems that never happened in the past. It’s a very nice salon and everyone I’ve been paired with does a great job, but keeping an appointment is turning into a headache.
A month ago I made an appointment for a color before going out of town. The day of they called to ask if I could come in at 2 instead of 4:45 because my stylist wasn’t feeling good and wanted to go home early. Hey I get that things happen, but I couldn’t switch times because I was still working. They found someone else to take me at the original time I confirmed, so all was well.
Yesterday I had an appointment for a cut and style at 4:45, had confirmed it via their webpage, and again got called to ask if I could come in at 5:30 instead. This wasn’t going to work because I had a 6pm nail appointment I was not willing to cancel. They found someone else to take me at 5 and promised to get me out on time so I went with it.
Once arriving the girl took one look at me and said we had one of two options. Because my hair is both long and thick, she said she wouldn’t have time to wash, cut, and style. She said she could wet my hair and cut it without washing it, or fully wash it, cut it, but have me leave with wet hair. I didn’t like either option because I made this appointment specifically to have my hair washed and styled before going out of town today.
At that point I wanted to leave as she was the second person they put me with that day, and I was starting to feel like more of a hassle than a paying customer. Instead she paired me with a third lady who was able to wash, cut, and style but it seemed very rushed and I was still ten minutes late to my nail appointment.
I appreciated them finding someone to do what I needed, but when you make an appointment it shouldn’t be this much of a production to keep it. I know their main receptionist went through some horrible events recently and that they are having a hard time filling her spot, but I think it might be time to find a new hair place that is less stress inducing.

I saw Elle Ivy yesterday. I just moved here to Austin and am always nervous about finding a new stylist. I absolutely loved Elle! I was able to get an appointment the next day after I called. She did an amazing job on my hair! I will definitely be going to her as my regular Texas stylist!

My previous Stylist took over 3 hour for a color and cut (long hair) but Cari was able to knock it out in 2 hours.

Elle Ivy was awesome! I went in for a balayage (baby sun-​kissed highlights) I absolutely love my new hair. I had virgin brown hair and being wanting to get my hair a natural highlight look, and low maintenance. She was great at listening on what I wanted, informed me well about the process and what we can achieve after a few sessions. I loved the fact that I didn’t feel rushed and she had an amazing caring attitude. I will recommend to everyone

Andrea is the queen bee here, I swear by her! She is sweet, listens very well and will tell you if she thinks something isn’t do-​able or will not look right. She has done my hair, I color and highlight, perfectly everytime. She is on time, never has cancelled and makes you feel at home. The other staff is great too, I have seen the other hair dressers and make-​up ladies do a bunch a girls for prom and they all looked so pretty.

Love this salon! I recommend it to anyone who asks. I have been 3 times and have had 3 different stylists and have loved them all!
Only complaint is the parking. But that is not their fault, of course and I think there is a solution coming in the near future.

I don’t usually have women doing my hair. Most salons can’t «do» the kinkier hair and most women don’t work in barber shops. But. the missus comes here to get her ‘fro tightened (i.e. hair done) and I am a good spouse… so
While waiting for Michelle to do her thang… I remark that I have to go to my usual spot to have my own ‘fro tightened… and Michelle comments that surely there is someone here that can cut your hair… Ten minutes later, up comes Melissa… professional hair stylist and colorist… and invites me into her lair… MuHaHaHa…
I sit down and think to myself, «I have a bad feeling about this (yes I watched SW: Empire Strikes Back this weekend)». I became a little more skittish when she went to find her «fade brush»… but dang… I had absolutely NOTHING to worry about. She cut my hair differently (i.e. out of order) than any one who has been close to my head with clippers… but did it fast, efficiently and WELL. She offered a shampoo/​conditioner and hair care… which I accepted.
As a dood… having a woman washing your hair is the BEST LOL. But seriously, Melissa was funny and nice (and didn’t make it weird). I have gotten more compliments on my ‘fro since Sat (mostly cuz I waited so long to do so)
So to recap — if u r a girl — go see Michelle (the missus LOVES her) if ur a guy, Melissa can do you right!
