Alliant needs to consider a serious overhaul on what can be done on their website. I needed to change checking accounts with Alliant and there was no way to do this on their website. I had to call someone. So I did that and was told it would be a wait of 5 – 8 minutes. At 12 minutes I hung up the phone. I went into Alliant Tower downtown to get it changed by one of the account clerks inside. All stations were full, but only 1 lady was helping people. One of the guys looked like he was actually working on something else related to his job, but the other woman was just sitting there… doing…NOTHING the whole time we were waiting in line. We finally got up to the lady who was helping people and then found out they wouldn’t change it for us there. We had to fill out a form and mail it in. I mean really, how inefficient can a business get?

Thanks to Alliant Energy crews for working long hours in very wet and dangerous conditions to keep power on to much of the city and for restoring power as quickly as possible. Please give there crews a thumbs up when you see their trucks and linesmen working in your area.
