Braise

The food was so good, I’m speechless!!! I didn’t just eat my Meatball Sub and Caesar salad, but I ate my friends Macaroni Salad and a Huli Huli Chicken slider. So good, I am a happy fat girl. Prices are great, people are amazing! Order enough for leftover or eat everyone elses food and take your to go. Ask for extra marinara, because it is good enough to bath in!!!

What a disappointment! After multiple friends recommended we consider Braise as our wedding caterer, we reached out. First of all, Shawn completely forgot our appointment. And since we had driven four hours from Chicago to meet him, it was just a bit frustrating. Luckily, he walked in ten minutes late and we had an impromptu discussion. We talked about what we wanted (even though I’d already emailed it to him and he hadn’t read it). He offered to send us menu options the next week and told us to leave him a mean voicemail if we didn’t get anything. And then remarked that he had five in his inbox right now. Um, ok. Why would I want to hire someone who I have to harass to do their job? When he failed to send menu options (shocking!), I reached out again. He told me he would work on our menu that weekend along with seven others. Big surprise: it’s now ten days later and I haven’t heard a word. Perhaps Braise’s food is amazing; I wouldn’t know since I’ve never tasted it. But their customer service is horrid and they seem to be growing at a pace they can’t sustain.
