I had a combo microwave/​oven unit replaced on short notice before leaving town for the winter. They were very busy, but assisted in selecting one that would be available within the week & determined my sizing needs. They promptly got it installed as soon as it arrived. There was a bit of a glitch in the depth fitting and I needed some additional cutting service to the back of the cupboard, which they were also able to arrange by the end of the same day (at no additional charge). The installers scratched my floor unfortunately, but the Home Appliance Center arranged for that quality repair & appropriately picked up the tab. I could not be more satisfied with the product & service I received from them and will definitely use Home Appliance Center for my next appliance replacement instead of the Big Box stores. The cost was within the ballpark of the Big Box stores & I received more services.

Very pleasant experience. They provided information on ways that I might be able to get my old unit running on my own and when that didn’t work their advice on new units was very helpful.
Their price was much better than the other local dealers that I checked and ordering was painless and was done over the phone. I don’t look forward to purchasing appliances, but the next time I have to I’ll go to the Home Appliance Center for sure.

THE place in Cedar Rapids to get your major appliances. Locally owned, brothers Craig & Steve took over a successful business from their parents and made it even more so. Most people would be surprised to learn that this little downtown shop is Whirlpool’s top dealer in the state. Their prices are as good or better than any of the chains and you get to deal directly with the owners. Home Appliance sells Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchenaid, Bosch and few other brands. They service and stock parts (in-​house) for everything they sell.
Here’s the cool part: if you’re even a little bit handy, when the time comes to have your appliance repaired Craig or Steve will diagnose your problem, tell you exactly how to fix it yourself and sell you all the parts to do it. They are the Click and Clack of the appliance industry right here in river city! I’ve saved hundreds over the years in repair costs.
The last time I had a repair question at Sears, they gave me a 900-​number to call for service support at a the rate of $ 4/​minute. Never again, I pledged! That was over 12 years ago. I’ve taken my business here ever since and have never been disappointed.
