They are improving all the time. I am there at least once a week. It’s about as good as it can get for this size town.

This mall has changed dramatically in the past 6 or seven years. They are currently adding on to Lindale Mall, so expect more stores soon! There aren’t too many stores in this mall but that’s just attributed to its size. There are basements to this mall that are often overlooked(there are maybe 3 – 5 more stores between them), one below the Younkers anchor and one by the Kays Jeweler’s in the middle. There’s a decent variety of stores in the mall itself, most of them are geared towards people between 15 and 30. However between both Sears and Younkers this mall easily suites people of all ages. The three anchors are Sears, Younkers and Von Maur, and there is a Men’s Warehouse on the Collins Road side by the food court. There is also a Talbots in this mall, which is a plus except that it isn’t accessible from inside the mall(it seems that this mall was once an out door mall, so this store is on the outside of the mall on the Von Maur side). The mall is fairly well maintained, I haven’t seen the bathrooms so I can’t comment on them, but the rest of the mall is clean and kept well. The mall staff promptly take care of things as needed and the security here has a vehicle to assist in the parking lot should problems arise. It’s family friendly here, I have hear that breast feeding has not been tolerated here in the past(whether this is good or bad is up to you). All the vending machines/photobooths etc are almost always working. This mall lacks peripherals. As far as I can tell, there are no actual out-liers for this mall, just places that happen to be nearby. On the Collins Road side there is mostly restaurants, which is expected of a mall, but don’t expect to easily(or safely) walk to anything from the mall. If you’re looking to spend a little more on dinner, Biaggi’s on Collins is GREAT, otherwise there are some run-of-the-mill fast food places on Collins road(the food court is decent at the mall as well). Down the hill from the parking garage is a Hy-Vee grocery store. There is a Barnes and Noble, Old Navy and a Khols in a strip mall that way as well. The only close movie theater is in a strip mall by the Micheal’s on Collins Road. It is not a first time showing theater, but it is cheap. On the first avenue side it is a little better, but again, don’t expect to walk to anything from the mall. There’s another set of strip malls with a cool variety of stores. There’s a staples and and music supply store and a number of other things. Bottom-line: This mall and it’s surrounding area make a relatively safe and friendly shopping district. This is your typical«hometown mall». If you are looking to travel more than 45 minutes to shop for fun, or you like a bigger variety of stores, go to coralville, otherwise this mall will suit you just fine.

Have you ever seen mallrats? This is the dirt mall. Every store is about 5 floorsets behind their counterparts in other malls in the country

This is a clean, attarctive, safe mall. In an economy where so many malls are failing, Lindale Mall has survived. I remember when it was an open air mall in the early 1970s. You would never know it now! Lindale has a thriving food court — it’s a beehive of activity most afternoons and evenings. It’s a meeting place and has helped keep people coming in during the slow periods. I enjoy mall walking here because the mall is kept clean and there is always something going on. Make sure and get a massage if you have time. For the amount of money you pay, the Chinese guys do a great job… At any time of the year, this mall is pretty safe — much safer than those malls in big cities. Security is plentiful and I’ve never had any problems. Why not five stars? Some of the bathrooms are old and not in the best shape. Also, the parking is a mess and unless you know the mall property, you might find yourself driving up the wrong side of a lane — that is, if you don’t run over a curb trying to get into the tight turns to enter the lot. For what it is, Lindale is a great place.

This mall is alright. Its where I go to get shoes and games. and I do go to Huhot so it still has uses for me. Plus it has a candy store :3! Kinda disappointed that Orange Julius left but whatever. I have seen better malls but this one still serves a perilous and has shopping stores. unlike wesdale mall.

This mall has declined some in the last 5 years, since they built the mall in Coralville but it hasn’t suffered as much as Westdale mall has, it still has most of the stores and they mall seems to be doing just fine. The food court is still up and running and they have a HuHot Mongolian place where the old bennigans used to be. I gave this mall 2 stars because they don’t have a Locker room Legends here. haha
