Emily is a good bartender. However, a coworker of her’s (big tall dude) overrode the music I selected. I spent $ 5 and did not get a chance to listen to anything. This place tends to attract people that are from the wrong side of the track. I would say this is a place for those young rowdy kids.

I liked the ambiance and the music was good. it took 45 minutes to even get one of the bartenders to look at me and when i gave her my money she just took it and walked off for about another 20 minutes while she served several people who came to the bar AFTER me. When i confronted the bartender she reluctantly grabbed me my drink and when i asked for change she had me kicked out without giving me my drink OR my money. Im not going to be returning.

The first couple of times I went here it wasn’t bad, music choice is decent and staff was pleasant. Now the staff aren’t the best, takes forever for drinks and my last visit one of the bartenders literally told me no for my second drink and helped her boyfriend near the back of the counter. Sat there an hour and a half all in getting two drinks and my card back.

Like: The music is usually something that you can vibe to. Hip hop or rap music is often mixed with a pop/​techno beat, but it’s all good for dancing. I love the bartenders, they are pretty quick and prices are fair. The crowd is generally a good mix of people, but the volume can be hit or miss. If there are a couple of events happening in Downtown CR, you could strike gold, otherwise the place may be empty.
Dislike: I don’t love the smokers porch that seems to build at the entrance, or the bouncers that indulge in creating the cloud of cancer with the patrons, but it’s indicative of nightlife in a farming community is suppose. I also think that on busy nights bouncer or staff could do a better job cleaning up spills on the floor.
This is definitely one of, if not the classiest nightlife in Cedar Rapids… so I recommend it!

Stopped in here for a drink with co-​workers while we waited for our table next door at White Star. Ambiance left a lot to be desired (perhaps because it’s underground and it was like 7pm on a Wednesday). We were the only ones in there, other than the bartender.
Drinks were extremely stiff and wine pours were extremely generous.

North Liberty, IA
Truly a hidden gem in Cedar Rapids. This bar is so modern and has great drink specials. The staff is amazing and so nice. Huge bar with a dance floor and so much fun to hang out at. Love the exposed brick look! If you want to have a good time in Cedar Rapids go to liquid lounge!
