When airport food sucks it likes to suck TOTHEMAX! Service is slow, whatever, I’m in no rush, if you have less than an hour before your flight, good luck. I ordered the boneless Buffalo wings. The cook must LOVE this fucking Buffalo sauce. Like, seriously, he fantasizes about pouring this sauce all over his body, because otherwise I can’t understand why they are just swimming in sauce. So much sauce I had to take a napkin and wipe it off reminding me much of what wiping a babies shit coated ass must be like. Mouth is on fire, belly is boiling. This is gonna be a GREAT flight home. Cheers to the sauce King of Iowa.

To start, the service is very bad. The bar smells like a wet rag and the bartender seems as though she hates her life. She asked for my id three times as I sat with it in my hand trying to give it to her. I asked for a taste of the house ipa she poured me a large beer without asking what size and charged me for it. Only restaurant in Cedar Rapids airport so you don’t have a choice. Pizza is frozen and salad doesn’t even come out how the menu said. In a nut shell it would be easier to name the two things they did right than the 100 they did wrong. Best bet is the vending machine they listen and don’t give you attitude and 90 percent of the time you get what u ordered.

I traveled to Cedar Rapids twice for work, ate here two Friday mornings on my way home two weeks in a row. The first time, the server was short and unfriendly, but the food was decent, so I returned. The second time, it was the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and there were several flight delays. The server(and I’m guessing kitchen as well) was overwhelmed, and it showed. The floor hadn’t been mopped, and there were obvious sticky spills. The tables were unclean-there was food stuck to my table, and the guy behind me asked for a rag and cleaned off tables himself. The bar was packed, the line of people was consistently 4 or 5 deep to order food and drinks. Many people turned around and left once they realized what was happening. She would serve food with 1 napkin, and people had to shout to her just to get something as basic as another napkin. My food was burned, much different than my prior experience. I understand Cedar Rapids is a small town and you can’t staff the place like ATL, but have a contingency plan for busy times like this. Set out napkins for people to grab them when they order. Put out a sign that informs people they have to stand in line to order and there is no table service and serve everything to go. I left her a tip because I felt bad for her-she probably did the best she could, given the circumstances and lack of corporate planning for situations like this.

This is the single restaurant beyond security at the Cedar Rapids airport. I’ve been here before and had some nice beers. This time I even had a sandwich with table service with my traveling companion. We both had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it really hit the spot! And we were glad to have eaten here since we barely made our connection in Chicago. No time for their lousy eateries. If your other choice is a wrapped up sandwich from the convenience store down by the United gates, this is a good place to go.

I don’t write negative reviews, but Im making an exception for this place. I’ve eaten/drank here on more than a dozen occasions(its the only option past security) before finally tiring of the crappy service and bad attitude of every employee that’s waited on me. The food is bad too.

Do not go here unless you absolutely have to. This was our second and last time there. The first time the service was terrible and the food so-so. This time not sure how the food was as we never got any. We arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes prior to our boarding time so should have had plenty of time. Waited a long time to get waited on and to receive our drinks. By then we could see the service was horrible so we ordered and appetizer thinking it would be faster. The waitress conned us into paying before we received our food — would be right out she said! Time was running out so we told her to put it in a to go box but our plane was loading so we never did get the food.

Been here the last two weeks and both times could not get waited on to order food. Understaffed!

Somehow I’ve never made the connection that Millstream Brewhaus in the airport is by Millstream Brewery in Amana. So naturally when my flight was delayed, I pulled up a seat. They have a well-rounded cocktail menu and several Millstream brews on tap, plus a breakfast menu. I have a major soft spot for breakfast no matter what time of day and no matter how many breakfasts I’ve already had, so a cheesy egg English muffin it was. The cheese was aplenty and there wasn’t much to note beyond that. Not because it was bad, just because it’s one of the most basic breakfast items in this world. But it hit the spot and I was happy. Our waitress, Emma, wasn’t very friendly but she was quick.

The only food option past security at the Cedar Rapids Airport, but they did not disappoint. Ordered the breakfast burrito and the English muffin sandwich and they were both delicious! The burrito was warm, loaded with potatoes, cheesy and. om nom nom! My husband really enjoyed his sandwich as well. Remember, this is the Cedar Rapids Airport – not a large enough airport for much more than one or two restaurants – this is a very nice little restaurant with nice staff.

It’s average food at an above average price to sum it up shortly. Nothing too special here, sandwiches and salads with a few other items that have the airport pricing. It’s not bad food, but you could get something better before or at your connecting flight for the money.

Eat before you go through security. This place is the only option on the concourse. Reheated food; expensive beer. Know that everything, including your fries, burger, and bun are reheated in a speed oven. Given that, I would recommend that you skip the hot sandwiches and order nachos or something similar that does well reheated in an oven. Maybe a cold sandwich? The fries did remind me of oven-warmed Ore-Idas from my childhood. Sadly, the nostalgia wasn’t enough to help me finish the dry pile. The beer isn’t bad but they charge 8.25 for a pint. The service was great, but I can’t bring myself to add a star just on that. Seriously, If you’re looking for food past security, I would recommend you check out the pre-packaged sandwiches at the newsstand. This restaurant needs a reworked menu that matches their equipment. Don’t pretend to be a grill without a grill! Don’t serve fries if you don’t have a fryer!

Can’t expect a lot bc it is a small airport but who cares bc at least I was able to get a drink before I leave Iowa. Nachos is alright… it’s not bad but I do love their shredded pork on top of my fries. Fyi it does get pretty busy at this area bc I think this is the only area that sells adult drinks.

Wouldn’t piss on it if it were on fire. The chef cooks up low grade dog food, the service is bitchy with a hint of sass. Then they go and shut down the kitchen at 4:39 on a Saturday? WTF. Unless you want an egg salad sandwich from a fridge by the newsstand, it’s the only place past security that serves«food» at this embarrassment to public aviation. They lack enough seating and anywhere to put your bags either. Here’s a nickel’s worth of free advice, pack a lunch, grab Subway or McDonald’s back by I-380 or just starve. Oh wait, they’ll let you starve by closing early.

Dont dare under tip on your credit card or they’ll literally start gossiping about you just behind the doors… its not like this is a big place. Large pint and standard pricing on food. Not bad for the price compared to some airport joints but the servers are a bit strange.

Being the only food/drink option past security at CID/Eastern Iowa airport in Cedar Rapids, Millstream Brewhaus has a big responsibility to «bring it» and get it right. I found them at a good time where they were not at capacity at the beginning of my airport visit and sampled some of their menu waiting for my flight out back home. The place is adequate size for the airport(which is not a massive airport). MB was clean and well maintained, and welcoming without being too ornate. My servers were very positive and attentive, even towards the end of my visit where MB started to be at full capacity. I had the chicken tender app and the quesadilla app, both were good and hit the spot. If you sample their beers and ales made by their own Millstream Brewing Co., I recommend trying their White Ale. It’s on the order of a Blue Moon type Belgian but much more flavorful and enjoyable… I wish they were near to my home as I enjoyed this one a lot! Bottom line: Definitely try Millstream Brewhaus if you get a chance to visit CID airport. Pretty good eats and a great White Ale. Positive and attentive service in a nice atmosphere. I enjoyed my visit!
