Target has an awesome brand and how they make it come to life no matter where are the map they are(in this case, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is pretty remarkable. The space is clean and the employees are so welcoming. I popped in for some travel size toothpaste and quickly found myself adding more items to the basket. They have a pretty hardy wine selection and the treats(since Christmas is close by) were festive and bright. Check out time was quick and the customer service was friendly, reliable and no issues. This is one Target that totally hits it mark!

I LOVE target so much it scares my husband. So of course, I planned my arrival at the Cedar Rapids airport to pick him up to be a bit earlier so that I could browse the target there. I’m use to going to the one in Ames which is a lot smaller. The Cedar Rapids location was like walking into paradise. The selections were amazing and the staff were SO pleasant. One employee saw me eyeballing a purse I’ve been wanting and asked if I needed help. When I said I was just wasting time till my husband landed at the airport, she asked me where I was coming from, how the roads were and said she was glad I had made it safely and hopes I had a safe trip home. People like this genuinely make me happy!

Good store. Really what usually sets these big box stores apart from one another is the people, and the people going to this store are just fine. It’s ironic because across the street at Walmart, you will find a lot more undesirables. The prices really aren’t different so I couldn’t tell you why the difference in demographics. Staff is cordial and helpful compared to our old store in South Minneapolis. We only live a block away so we go here all the time. Price matching is good. Wish they had better electronics selection, but no big deal.

Nice store, lots of selection and good quality stuff. Their clothes are trendy and they have designers come in with some awesome stuff. Prices for regular items are a bit more than Walmart but they do have some good clearances. I love their grocery selection, its great!

Target reminds me of home. I’ve shopped there since I was a kid. If only they still had the smell of popcorn coming from the snack bar when you walk in.(Although the retro store in Ames still does!) Target is Iowa’s Ikea store. You can get stylish, but inexpensive things for your home and it doesn’t look like you got them at a discount store. Of course there’s much more to Target than housewares and they do I nice job in most of the other departments too. One gripe about this store is the deli. They used to have a full service deli with fried chicken, fresh salads, even a sushi chef. A couple years ago they gave up on all that and it appears that nothing is made in-store. Maybe they do, but it certainly doesn’t taste like it. The sushi especially has gone down hill. I had my last order today. Believe it or not they once served pretty decent sushi here, but no more. The grocery department carries a lot of unique items you don’t see anywhere else in town. Target’s private label is especially good, even better than some national brands.
