We took our grandchildren, ages 8 and 2 here. This is such a fun place for all ages, and the cost was only $ 3 each — 2 and under free. The price included a small bag of food for the kids to feed to the animals. In the hands on farm we saw goats, rabbits, donkeys, pigs(a miniature pig variety from New Zealand). Since it’s early summer, there were lots of baby animals, including 5 day old goats. The animals are in old timey town buildings and the place is spotless. The play area has slides tunnels, ropes to climb, etc. Both the 8 and 2 year old would have spent hours playing. We bribed them with ice cream to get them out. The lobby contains large animals(taxidermed if that’s a word!) Mountain lion, grizzly, lion, water buffalo, etc. There’s also a little theatre with a 30 minute video about the farm and cartoons! The Plop Plop Shop has honestly the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted, it’s so creamy and flavorful. The ice cream and waffle cones and bowls are all made on site. We live quite close and it is now our new place to go when we crave ice cream! We understand that at 5 pm you can take a tour of the larger farm. We didn’t do this, but will definitely take the kids back for it soon. Take your kids here! It’s inexpensive and fun. Less than 30 minutes from GR, and for ice cream lovers, the ice cream alone is worth the trip!
