Time to see what other DRs are in my plan. Have been going to this group for 5 years. More often than not there are more pharmaceutical reps(bags of lunch or breakfast in hand) in the waiting room than patients. They claim that the samples they get help their patients keep cost of meds down. Whatever! It is my experience that it turns all 3 doctors there into pushers, quick to prescribe drugs. How often do they see the reps and when we come in, it is because we are sick… please give us more time than the reps. My kids have been misdiagnosed several times, including with thrush. Another time we ended up in the emergency room 12 hours after a visit to Dr Mendoza-Lemes. We followed her prescription and then were chastised by emergency room staff for not using tylenol for fever. I am not a trained in medicine that is why I went to the DR and followed their guidance but according to the emergency room, basic steps(including prescribing or recommending tylenol), were not covered. Front office staff are hit or miss, sometimes they are nice, but more often than not they are rather unpleasant and condescending. Certainly not helping to build faith in the structure of the med industry and make us less likely to want to go to the Dr.
