I love this place and the staff is always nice. Family/staff is from the old country and not far from where my ex-wife’s family comes from. I grew up in Milwaukee but lived in the southwest for 30 years before coming back. The food is very good and authentic but the spiciness has been tamed a bit for the tastes of the clientele in this area but they have not lost any of the flavor although, they do have a few items that can humble even the most arrogant fire eaters. They have menudo almost every day but you have to get it before they run out.

Waitress acted annoyed from the second we walked in. She was texting on her phone while we waited for menus and drinks. Restaurant was not busy at all, only 3 tables, and took forever just to order. Waitress acted annoyed from the second we walked in. They were out of items from the kids menu, so my daughter didn’t know what to order. Waitress was very rude when we said we would be paying for our drinks and leaning. Told us to just leave and didn’t bother giving change for our drinks. Too bad, because I’ve been there in the past and the food was good, but if I ever give them my business again it will be carry out.

I love the traditional Mexican food at Las Fajitas. I have never been disappointed. The salsa is so good, I usually buy a 32oz container to take home, but what’s really nice is while on a Sunday morning while everybody is standing in line for 30 minutes to get breakfast at another local establishment, I can come here for a good American style steak and eggs meal, with no wait. They have great pancakes too.

Oh boy, I hate being a kill joy. But if you’re in the mood for a margarita and great Mexican food move along. The margarita came and it was lime green colored and it tasted lime green colored. Great margaritas are so easy and Mexican restaurants just want to cut corners and it ruins the whole experience. Chips and salsa arrived immediately which I love. however the salsa was so extremely hot that I asked if they had a milder option, she graciously said yes and brought a bowl of tomato sauce. Not that they meant it to be tomato sauce but that’s exactly what it tasted like. I wanted to leave at this point but the menu is in front of me and I had the lime green juice in front of me so I chose one enchilada. It was mild and sweet?! Nothing like Id expect it to be. I really wanted to love this place because I really love Mexican but I cannot return. Bummed out :(

So, I was in here before — mid afternoon time– great staff etc. Came in here tonight and was very disappointed. First you could tell that really had no staff. The Spanish speaking ladies that came in after me were served food before our order was even taken. I think it was 1 waitress and a hostess who was also a waitress. It’s a Friday night so I knew they’d be busy. The center tables weren’t cleaned off the entire time I was there. Our waitress was rude. We ordered an app with our meal because we were starving and it all came togeather. Never was asked if we needed anything. Service sucked, luckily the food was still good. I’ll think twice about coming again now :(oh and there was a kid, looking to be about 12 cleaning the tables when we left.

This place used to be called Jalisco’s which was better. Head over to the Highland house in Mequon, for better mexican food.

Much improvement from when it was«Jalisco» the salsa is fresh and chunky with a bit of a kick. My wife got the taco platter and the ground beef was seasoned nicely. My grande chicken quasadilla was excellent as well. Our orders came in less then 10 minutes. Mexican music was playing and restaurant was clean and our waitress was very nice. I definitely will be going back.

Our dinner was ok. Not bad just not great. Free chips and salsa– salsa was very spicy. Margaritas were fine. My enchiladas were very very spicy — I wish that would have been mentioned on the menu. Overall bill for two dinners and two margaritas was $ 32. Might be back since it’s right down the road

It was nothing special. Very low average Mexican food. My food as not that warm. Margaritas were poured out of a plastic jug and tasted no alcohol. Atmosphere is not inviting. Won’t be back.

Recently opened in the old Jalisco location, this little bit of Mexico is sizzling up some good food. The restaurant is split in half with a dining room in one side and a bar on the other. It’s not a very large room. Probably 15 tables both as booths and standard four tops. Doors open at 7AM with some Mexican styled breakfast items. They also offer their full menu, too, which I appreciated. That leads me to the food. The menu size wasn’t overwhelming. To me that shows that they’re more about quality than quantity. From starters to dessert, all your standard Mexican favorites were there. Our server was really friendly and made sure we were happy. Salsa was amazing! Tad on the hot side so beware you acid reflux, Prilosec popping peeps. Also, the restaurant was clean and orderly. I went with cheese enchiladas. Smothered in their homemade red sauce and sizable side of rice and beans, these enchiladas were better than average. The rice wasn’t dry, the beans were flavorful, and the tortillas were soft and moist. I always change it up from corn to flour. They’re a little on the high side when it comes to price. It wasn’t a huge amount of food for $ 10.25. But I didn’t walk away feeling like i shouldn’t have packed my pie hole. I’ll go back because it was good. And try something different like a stuffed burrito or fajitas. The flavors are there and that’s what justifies another trip.

The menu, food, and staff are all very much the same as Jalisco(the former tenant in that location prior to the fire last year). I said it about Jalisco, that they had the best Mexican food in the northern suburbs of Milwaukee, and they have passed the torch to Las Fajitas. Friendly staff, great food, very good chips and salsa, and fun atmosphere.

The menu is almost identical to the former Jalisco’s but that’s where the comparison stops. I had stopped going to Jaisco’s because the quality of food had gotten so bad. Las Fajitas is so much better. I had the Bistoc Con Rajas and the steak was tender and cut much thicker than the thin grizzly pieces that the previous restaurant offered. I recommend getting a side of Ranchero sauce to go with this meal. The second time I went, I had planned on trying something else, but the Bistic Con Rajas was so good I had to see if it was consistently good… it was. On my third visit I had the steak fajitas, another great meal. 3 out of 3 great meals gets 5 stars from me. Bare with some of the wait staff as they don’t speak English very well, but that adds to the ambience. Its so nice not to have to drive way into Milwaukee to find a good Mexican restaurant.
