Local Motion Outfitters under new ownership is an extreme disappointment. Service and pricing have gone down the tubes. I own two older(«classic») high-end mountain bikes. I took one of them in for service and parts replacement. I wanted to keep it original equipment(Shimano XTR). They looked up the parts, told me they could get them and gave me a quote. It was going to take a week. Two and a half weeks later, I called them. «Oh yeah, it’s been ready for a week» was the response. I went in to pick it up and what the!!! They had replaced the parts with bull&*^% Tektro parts! And the last kick in the teeth was that they charged me what they originally quoted for high end parts! I would expect that if what was originally discussed was not available, someone would call me to let me know and find out if I was ok with the proposed parts. Well, I got nothing. When I asked about what I thought a questionable practice, all they could say was that those were the only parts available. I know that to not be true. I will not make another purchase from or service appointment with them. I love having a bike shop in town, but I don’t see a future for them. I’ll just go back to doing my own service.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Denver, CO
They get a 5 now. My only complaint initially was that they had a small offering of different makes. Either I was mistaken in my earlier review, or they recently brought in a new line; they now carry Opus bikes.
