This place has always to me been better than most especially el nopal. The menu selections seem to be better and good is better prepared. I go get the use to be .99 tacos on Monday but now 1.30. Still not a bad deal and they always have a crowd there.

Nice staff, great margaritas and good food. What more can you ask for? I like the steak burrito and the guacamole is freshly made. The restaurant is good for a large group or to just hang with a friend.

We’ve been repeat customers since this little Mexican restaurant opened. We were frequent customers of their location in Carollton. I will say that they used to take my business from el nopal, but NOMORE! Tonight this place got 2/3s of our order incorrectly and we didn’t confirm this until we got home(we picked up to take home). We didn’t verify the order there because the meals were in foil dishes with covers and we trusted them with our order. We called them to tell them and to arrange picking up the correct order. When we got there, the owner spent 20 minutes reviewing the receipt and his supposed recollection of the order. After he argued with me for all of that time, he provided me his version of the corrected order … a cup of ground beef and a cold quesadilla and I will state it was VERY unacceptable. They will get no more of my business. I sent them a lot of business from my workplace. My co-workers will hear about this as well.

Restaurant is a Tex-Mex grill connected to the end of a Kroger shopping center. In a very small town it is one of two long surviving Tex-Mex style establishments. The other is a larger business that focuses more on the drinks setting an atmosphere that is better for large groups to eat passable food while slamming back margaritas. Fortunately, The Border serves as a smaller, more quiet place that has a bit more focus on its food and service. The prices are average for the town with few meals exceeding $ 10. You are served chips/salsa upon being seated which is typical. The menu is complete having all the normal Tex-Mex choices. They lack many real specialty dishes that you can’t find everywhere else, but I find that they prepare the standards better than local competition(Tamales, Chili Colorado, Fajitas, etc). I couldn’t say I’d travel to visit the restaurant as there are better choices outside of town, but if you are in Cedartown and you are feeling Tex-Mex this is the place to take your family.

Nice little Mexican place, a «bar & grill» they call it. A great late evening establishment to meet with friends for food, drink, whatever. Nice cozy booths too. Thumbs up!
