I have to tell you, I haven’t wrote a negative review till now. I went at 8:30 — 9:00 on a Thursday. I went to the walk up menu. It was 4 minutes till they took my orders. It was 2 combos &2 shakes, 20 minutes later she brought my orders minus my drink. It was just a coke. Then I got to my room and my double, it was a single. I’m sorry, but there salty caramel is nasty! Back home they would have burnt that place down! !!

The food is typical sonic. Their slush machine gets taken down at inconvenient times. The servers tend to lack product knowledge. Service definitely is less then desirable. These instances have occurred on multiple occasions.

When I was growing up in Massachusetts, we had commercials for Sonic all the time. This was truly annoying, since the closest Sonic was 2 hours away in New Jersey. I swore, as a boy, that I would someday make the trip and taste this legendary restaurant known as Sonic. It took me until I was 26 and at a wedding to make this happen. We had traveled to Cold Water, Ohio for a friend’s wedding and needed somewhere to grab a quick bite. This Sonic was right near our hotel and, darn it, that’s where we went. Now, not having been to a Sonic before, I didn’t understand the concept. So for all you other newbies out there(which is, I’m sure, zero of you): To order at a Sonic, you have to drive up to your own personal drive up window. You press the big red button(although I kept pressing the«Cancel» button thinking it was the talk one and missing the even bigger red button below my finger) and then order. You pay at this little window and someone brings you food. Just like that. I got a burger and tater tots. The burger? Meh, your normal fast food burger. The tots? Yes. Delicious, hot, crispy, just what I wanted. The food came out fast, it was greasy and gross but what I needed at that moment for a quick meal before we went off. So there we go, younger me. We did it. High five! *Hive fives myself through time.*

Quick service, friendly staff. They have the best chili cheese fries here, and I normally don’t like chili or cheese on my fries! The location can sometimes be a little crazy, as you have to go through the Wal-Mart parking lot to get into Sonic, but it does give you the option to go down to the stop light that way. This location is close enough to Grand Lake, that you can get it to go and go sit by the water, if you like.

A great sonic. Fairly new, quick friendly service. As always at Sonic get a burger they are the best.
