A good place for lunch or a take out(for work). I’m originally Lebanese, so the REAL falafel usually includes radish & parsnip which were both absent in my wrap.

As you know, I so dislike writing one star reviews, but… …I must let you know my experience. It all began about 2 weeks ago when a young man came to our door selling a «Preferred Customer Dining Certificate» to Fire Dough. He said he was a student at East High. East is nowhere near where we live, but it was only $ 20 and Fire Dough is near my work and it was for his school and… we bought it. I stopped by Fire Dough Friday night at 6:30 and they were closed… weird. I called them Saturday and was told there was a family emergency and they had to close… okay story. I stopped by at lunch today and was told, «This coupon book is a scam. We did a similar coupon last year, but this is no good.» What? Seriously? It looks real… like a good, professional marketing piece. He then said he would give me a free soda or 10% off… really? Unilocal check-in is good for 20% off. I was getting irritated. He then offered me a free Falafel Wrap, saying, «This would have been the offer you would have received, but you now owe sales tax.» Now I’m even more upset. «Oh, I’ll just not ring it up and give you one.» He says something to the cook and I get a to-go bag. Hopefully it will be tasty… …but no such luck. It was dry and had no flavor and did I say, «Dry?» See ya.

A nice family restaurant, food was great and the people were really kind. My favorite item was the beef shawarma wrap. Their tabouleh salad was great! The Gallic sauce is really good as well. I will be back to make sure I try everything on the menu.

This place was amazing, fantastic food, pleasant staff and excellent service. I didn’t know what to get and the woman helped me choose a great dish based on my Greek favorites. I highly recommended this place everyone.

This place is ok… The good is that the food tasted fresh and well spiced. The falafel platter I got was decent enough. The falafels were actually moist and tasty. Now I feel lucky after reading what the others got. The baba was decent, the cucumber salad was ok, and the bread was warm, if not especially fresh. What I didn’t like: For over $ 9, all it was was falafel, baba, some salad, and a piece of pita. If there were some stuffed grape leaves that would have made a big difference. It was enough food, but somehow still skimpy for the price. Maybe there just wasn’t enough variety or items on the plate. Additionally, the daily special was only for people who eat meat — just chicken or beef. They couldn’t do the same with falafel. Isn’t falafel cheaper? Also, when she asked me if I wanted baba or hummus, I said, «how about a little of each»? Nope, couldn’t do that either. You’d think they’d go a little above and beyond to get return customers. Nah, prolly won’t be back. I like Damascus for my middle eastern food.

We were in the area needing a quick bite to eat before picking up a car(being repaired) at a nearby dealership. We saw the words«Firedough» and thought, YUMMY! We drove up to it and were surprised to find that it was not a Pizza place but in fact, a Mediterranean Grill. Having only ever eaten at Garbanzo before I thought, why not?! Let’s try it out! The décor is very lovely and the staff is super friendly. You get the feeling it’s family owned and they cook their own food/recipes — as if it were not a chain restaurant(btw, I have no idea if it is or not). I ordered the Combo Shawarma with Falafel and Hummus. I’m not sure what to say next here because frankly it’s been a while since I’ve been disappointed with food. The rice was good… and oh yeah, the pita bread, that was delicious. The beef was a little chewy and spicy for me and the chicken was just okay. I ate it all so it was edible, but it was just OK. The falafel, well, I have to say I was extremely disappointed in it, especially because I usually scarf those things down and want more. I could barely finish the one on my plate. Reading some of the other reviews it seems to be a consistent opinion. If you love falafel, this is not the place for you. Overall, when we left, we both felt unfulfilled and agreed it wouldn’t be a place we’d go back. I don’t like saying that or writing these reviews, I really really don’t. I’m sure the owners work very hard. But I have to be honest.

The lunch crowd is not to hard to please. If you ask me, all you have to do is have fast service with decent prices and you will hit it out of the park. Unfortunately, Firedough doesn’t meet my criteria. At $ 8 a wrap, I felt like I would have needed 2 of these plus a side to get full. I tried the spicy Mediterranean sausage wrap and the the taste was bland and missing the«spice». On a positive note, the staff is friendly and the patio was nice. I’m a firm believer in giving every restaurant a 2nd chance, so I will be back at some point, but not anytime soon.

FireDough is authentic Middle-Eastern(Lebanese) food. Prepared carefully and with home-made ingredients. It’s a family place, with the meat dishes well-prepared by family members. I just love this place. Even the Pita(bread) is made in-house. Great service. I especially love the«salad» which is actually Arabic-Israeli cucumber-tomato mix with great spicing. The meat dishes are well-flavored, cooked just right. Did I say family? In the evening, sometimes, the manager’s childen run around and have fun. Very nice. If you want Mediterranean, or just good food, you can get it here. Very reasonable prices, especially for«business lunch», and large portions. Don’t hold back!

What don’t I love about this place? Everything made from scratch in house, honest wholesome ingredients, explode in your mouth flavors, and friendly, helpful staff. We’ve tried the pizzas — highly recommend the spicy Mediterranean sausage. And my got to entrée has been the beef kabob with babaganouj and falafels. I would also recommend their hummus or a Greek salad as a side. Their tahini and garlic sauce are fantastic! I have no complaints. 5 Stars all the way.

Oh man. It pains me so much to leave a review like this for a Mediterranean restaurant, but this place makes, hands-down, the worst ‘falafel’ I have ever eaten in my life. We’ll get to that later… I live around the corner from Firedough; delivery was prompt and the delivery girl was super friendly. That’s basically where the positives end for me. The portions for the size were, as others have mentioned, subpar. For the same amount of money at Ali Baba up the street I receive three times the quantity of food. The vegetarian platter featured maybe a quarter cup of tabbouleh(which was fine — no issues there) and about the same amount of hummus and baba ganoush(which were unremarkable but not terrible), three stuffed grape leaves(again, the same as you get from most places), a single piece of dry, cold pita bread — and three of the driest, grossest ‘falafel’(I can’t even call them falafel sans quotations, that’s how bad they were) I have ever encountered. For $ 9, though, for a I at least expected some rice or maybe some fattoush if the portions were that small. I ordered a side of toum, or garlic sauce — and it was very good so at least there’s that. I grew up eating homemade Middle Eastern food, and I’m not expecting food at restaurants to be just like your Teta’s home cooking or whatever, but I know at least what it is supposed to taste like. I know Mediterranean food can be very regional — Lebanese ingredients may differ from Persian ingredients, et cetera — but Firedough’s food didn’t seem to align with any specific region, it was just weird — like maybe they’re trying to make it purposefully inauthentic to appeal to white people? I don’t know. On to the falafel. I don’t know how one could purposefully make falafel have this texture. When I read other reviews and saw someone had called the falafel inedible I thought to myself — how can you make falafel inedible? Sure, I’ve had bland falafel, overcooked falafel, undercooked falafel — but it has always been edible, even enjoyable with the right condiments — but that reviewer was right — they were completely inedible. They tasted strongly of cinnamon or something else I couldn’t put my finger on — allspice? I mean, I grind my own spices for baharat seasoning, I’m very familiar with the region’s spices — but I couldn’t decide why they were so disgusting until I asked my boyfriend to give me his(white suburban guy) opinion and he told me that the texture, taste, and smell reminded him of banana bread. That was it — it was vaguely reminiscent of spice bread and had the same texture, though very dry. I even attached a photo of the weird falafel. I’m guessing the strange texture was related to the heavy use of whatever seasoning was in them, or perhaps preparing them and then freezing them too long? They say they’re gluten-free so I’m guessing they’re not using flour unless it’s chickpea flour? I don’t even know. I’ve always made falafel with a combination of fava beans and chickpeas and never had this resulting texture. I also ordered the vegetarian pie for my daughter — and the pie is essentially a pizza. I liked it because it was exactly like the cheap pizzas I used to eat from kebab shops in England when I was a poor student(they put sweetcorn on it just like in England as well — ha!) and coming home drunk from the pub. Not sure it’s to American tastes, but I liked that aspect of it, probably for the nostalgia. But let’s face it, if you want pizza, you’re not ordering it from a Mediterranean restaurant. All in all, you have better Mediterranean options in this area available to you — Ali Baba in Greenwood Village is reliable and the portions are huge. I’m sorry, Firedough — I wanted to like you, I really did, and you may be able to convince the good people of Centennial that this is Middle Eastern food, but I know you could do so much better. The whole beauty of Mediterranean cuisine is clean, bright, fresh-tasting food, and nothing here tasted fresh at all.

I thought this place was pretty good. The portions were large. I had the firedough combo and all 3 of the meats were tasty. I would get something different as I am not a fan of Kefta I have learned. The beef was fantastic. The spicy hummus and pitas were also great as well. Portions were huge! The folks running the place were very friendly and honestly interested in whether or not we enjoyed their food. We will go back I am sure. I would like to try the Chicken Shwarma. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I wasn’t completely sold on their spiced potatoes. Seemed a little bland to me.

Have to say that I have eaten at plenty of med places in NY/NJ and this place is right up there with them. Portions were very filling the people at the counter were helpful and nice. Prices were very reasonable in my opinion. Did the trio.

Coming from California where Mediterranean is very popular I have had the opportunity to experience many different restaurants. This restaurant has great food, the flavors are unique and plentifully and I really enjoy eating here. This place is fast, great priced, friendly and most importantly great food. I want to add, I always get the firedough combo. Chicken, beef and kafta(spelling?) With a side of hummus and seasoned potatoes. This plate is great, I can’t personally speak for any other plates Because this is all I order. I will see you guys again soon! Thank you.

I accidentally ran into this spot so I was curious to check it out. I overall impression is that it’s a good attempt at Mediterranean but it falls a bit short. I will add that I lived near several authentic and excellent Middle Eastern restaurants and grew up around several Greeks who owned restaurants so my standards are very high. Like some of the other reviews, I felt like the meat was a bit dry. I don’t like pitas that are not home made but these were also dry and unappetizing. I did find the prices to be a bit high and I don’t find large portions as a pro especially for lunch. I am looking for something light and reasonably priced.
