The place is very straight forward. You select your meats, veggies, carb and sauce and then they cook it for you. So basically it’s as good as what you choose and put in your meal right? The price is decent and the service is good. It’s still a good place to eat with friends!

I’m a sucker for build your own anything. This place has fresh meats and they encourage you to pile it high. I got the regular size bowl and piled it high with Korean-marinated pork, sirloin steak tips and a little bit of bacon. Just a few veggies to be sociable. And then a ramekin of 3G and one of Khanzu sauce. Figured two would be enough, but it wasn’t quite saucy enough. Overall, though I loved it and got a ton of food for the $ 12 bowl.

Whelp… I used to sing their praises. Legit loved this place. But, no longer will I be back. We’ve sat, waiting to be greeted while VARIOUS staff members walk by(including managers) for several minutes. The dude taking care of the section RIGHTNEXTTOUS couldn’t bother to either a) tell our sever she was sat or b) help us out real quick because our sever couldn’t. When we were greeted, the girl didn’t even acknowledge that we’d been waiting or apologize. That’s the tip of the terrible service iceberg. The icing on the cake was when my fiancé and I had our carbs switched. I always choose the noodles, he always chooses brown rice. They mix all your food in with the noodles and just put your stuff on top with rice, so you can’t really«pick around» and solve the problem yourself. We let our waitress know and she was at a loss. No offer to let us rebuild(y’all messed up, not us) and we paid full price. Neither of us took home leftovers. We paid $ 34 before tip for food we didn’t want because it wasn’t at all what we ordered. Our waitress clearly never vocalized our problem to anyone nor did she care at all. It’s a shame. Management is clueless; literally they just walk around and have no customer service skills. Dirty looks from them is norm. Service has become downright awful recently. The food is so good, but not worth being upset every time we leave.

Oh Genghis grill normally a lunch time favorite for me in Albuquerque so while on a recent trip to Colorado it was of course my number one choice for lunch when my husband asked where we should eat. This location is the same as any other I have been to as far as how you make your own bowl etc, shouldn’t be that difficult right??? You select your own ingredients take it to the end of the line tell them what you want as far as noodles rice etc and wait for your food to be cooked and brought to you? I told the lady I wanted fried rice which she repeated fried rice I said yes but when my bowl arrived it was full of white rice easy mistake? Well not so easily fixed when the choices are re make your bowl and go thru the process during a busy lunch time while your partner is already eating there bowl and is going to have to wait for you to finish yours or get a side of fried rice well that really dosent fix the issue either since your food and flavor is all mixed in with the rice in the other bowl. Had it of just been the rice issue I may not have marked down my review so harshly but the overall flavor of my food was off which I don’t understand because I always get the same ingredients in my bowl and have become quite a pro at learning how to stack my bowl therefore why did it taste so funky??? I don’t really know the answer and hate to assume but there it is my food def had a bad taste to it that left a fowl taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t return to this location.

We used to go to Genghis grill in Arizona all the time. I would create my own bowl, which I made up from my own Mongolian BBQ experience, I only did this because I did not like any of the recommended receipes. This is pretty easy to do; select any meats and veggies you like then select the sauce. Like other Americanized Mongolian BBQ places this place doesn’t circulate the food around the cooking stone which I believe only adds flavor. The one thing that I don’t particularly like is the sizes of the bowls. They were kind of small and therefore a small portion of food, usually if the bowls are small you should get multiple turns to make a dish. For lunch this place is reasonably priced, but it’s not all you can eat. For dinner, it’s a bit on the expensive side but you do get two sides with your bowl which will be more than enough to make you full. Overall, this is a good m-BBQ place, with slightly higher prices.

First off let me preface by saying i love Mongolian bbq. I love being able to put as much shrimp in a bowl as a please and this place allows me to do that. You can make the bowl however you choose so it is really in your hands. Reasonable price for a large amount of food as well.

Lunch reunion with my girlies. A big group of females are usually indecisive but we decided on going here. The hostess walked by and never greeted us or said goodbye for a matter of fact but another lady came and got us seated. Our waitress was a cute European girl with a heavy accent. She was really good but a little hard to understand. She had to explain the process and rules and then it felt like my relaxing lunch was about to get overwhelming but they made it easy. Much like other Mongolian grill– you get your bowl and filler up. Their selection wasn’t the best. Meat didn’t look like the best quality but the had a big selection. I got a regular bowl and filled it sky high. You get the choice of two sides with a regular bowl so I chose fried rice and udon noodles. You have to put your sauce in another bowl then the guys at the grill do their magic. 5 minutes later the bowl appears back at your table. Food was decent but like I said, not the best quality. Ordered a cookie butter wonton with vanilla ice cream. Totally stingy on the ice cream and wontons weren’t really«filled» as much as they should’ve been and were a little burned. Service was great food was so-so.

The idea of Mongolian BBQ is sort of like a salad bar where you pick your proteins, vegetables, spices, and sauces, and then they cook it for you in minutes. The place is great for lunch although avoid arriving around noon as it gets very crowded. Great location if you work in DTC or Park Meadows.

Pretty much if you’ve done this type of dining then you’ll come out feeling like a winner. There’s a trick to this madness. They ask you what size bowl you want. I opted for small. This size is by no means going to be a reflection of how less you’re going to eat. This is where that experience in this kind of dining comes in. Not a Pro Tip: But someone who’s dined this way enough I can tell you it’s the way you pack your ingredients every time you add a layer. So wash your hands beforehand. Load with the provided serving spoon and press with your hand. Repeat until your bowl is as tall as Mt Everest! Pick your sauce. They only have one sauce that is not sweet. Ask someone to guide you. After hiking this is a favorite food to load up with carbs. Be aware that you can pack your bowl with more meat or more noodles. Can’t do both simply because there’s not enough space. So follow your gut. Literally listen to it and happy padding!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time, I’ve always took note of it when on travel with its close proximity to my hotel and the additional attraction by the four star Unilocal ratings. The concept of fresh ingredients being chosen by the customer to design their Asian concoction is pretty cool; however, more effective with pizza and burritos. When it comes to Mongolian cuisine, I rather have a chef dictate the ingredients and spices. Nonetheless, my bowl turned out decent, but lacking sauce, ostensibly identifying me as a poor cook. I wish my waitress offered instructions or recommendation on the quantity of sauce to use, as they do at other Mongolian make your own dish restaurants. Our waitress explained the process in great detail. I delivered my bowl full of fresh goodies to the«kitchen», and enjoyed my appetizer, Potstickers. They were tasty with a nice crunch on the outside stuffed with moist all white meat chicken and garnished with their killer 3G sauce. Wasn’t bad or great, just okay.

I was actually rather impressed! I hadn’t had Mongolian in a really long time and we decided to try this place out on a whim(we were originally going to go to Wahoo’s which is next door). I ended up getting chicken, beef, and scallops… adding some veggies and onions, lots of different spices and I mixed it up a bit with fried rice and thick noodles. DELICIOUS! Just writing this review makes me want to go get some for dinner tonight. OH, and I added an egg. I’ll definitely go back and try out different flavors. Environment was cozy and the service was great(granted it was fairly empty with only a handful of tables).

Really good food here! The staff was also very friendly. Our waiter was helpful with informing us of how things were done there. I decided to get a large bowl(huge portion by the way, I would recommend getting a medium or small). We got all the meats mixed into our bowls and just basic veggies like onions, bell peppers, and broccoli. The sauces were good, I did a mixture of teriyaki and a touch of their spicier sauces as well as the dragon dry spice and the sauce. It wasn’t too spicy but I’m sure if you want it to be spicy, you could make it that way with more of the kickin sauces. Afterward you choose your carb and they load it up and bring it to your table, I got the udon and my wife got the rice noodle. They are not stingy with their portions so bring your appetite! I would recommend this place, we didn’t have any alcoholic drinks but it seemed that they had a pretty good selection. If you’re in the area and are feeling real hungry, this is a good place. It was about $ 8 for small, $ 10 for medium, and $ 13 for large.

I love Mongolian and have been to quite a few spots. This very well may be the best one I’ve seen. The Fresh Meats were amazing. I’m use to frozen meats at these spots. I also like the drop and deliver model over hanging out at the big round grill. Go large bowl and you will only need one trip. Don’t miss this place. Looks kind of generic in the shopping center, but it is the bomb!

First visit… pretty good, not a traditional Mongolian grill, in some ways this is better and in some ways not. I did like the fresh cuts of meat and seafood, not frozen thin slices of meat here! The veggies are fresh and there are a lot of fun seasonings and sauces that you can add. You can also ask for double rice or noodles at no charge and can add eggs to make your stir fry even more yummy. The bowl sizes are odd though… you see three sizes, a small, medium and a large bowl, it looks like good portions and you think you are getting a great deal… and then you are handed a smaller silver bowl to collect your stir fry items in. The small, medium and large bowls are just the serving bowls… it’s a little deceiving. The food was tastey, prices decent, but I will up my bowl size the next time!

This is a great place for a quick meal, made exactly the way you want it! I always stick with the little black bowl because holy cow, its A LOT of food. I love experimenting and trying out all of the different combinations of proteins and sauces. My favorite is their housemade specialty sauce, its quite tasty! The cocktails are alright, come in very huge glasses with a small amount of alcohol, but they taste pretty good. It gets crowded quickly during dinner time, which can be a little annoying having to stand in line, but hey, that’s life. Only change I would make would be to add some edamame to the menu that isn’t spicy!!! Not every one can eat spicy food, and its a shame to miss out on one of my favorite appetizers.

Lone Tree is probably best known for Parks Meadows Mall and now IKEA. Predictably, the food isn’t the greatest. The only restaurants I’ve seen in the vicinity are chains, and for some reason these mall-related branches are especially abysmal. Ghengis Grill, however has really good food, and if it doesn’t that’s your fault. This is one of those places you pick the ingredients: protein, spices, veg, and cooking sauce and they put it together and serve you. I like to get it with extra broccoli rather than a starch like rice or noodles, but that’s just me. The only thing I’d like to see done differently is I’d like to see a cooking sauce without sugar. Also, they should put lettuce wraps BACK on the menu. The service is usually friendly, but can be a bit absent minded. All in all Ghengis is the best option for lunch on a shopping trip to Park Meadows.

If you don’t like making decisions, don’t eat here! But if you like to be in control of how many veggies you’re eating or how much meat is in your bowl, this place is for you! Three sizes of bowls to choose from — Small $ 7.99, Reg $ 9.99, Large $ 12.99. Add a dollar to each price for dinner. The idea is you pick the size bowl you want, head up to the counter with all the meat and veggie choices and pile it in the bowl. Then choose your sauce, then choose your starch(they also offer cabbage as an alternative), then watch them throw it on the huge round grill, then have a seat while it’s being cooked up and they’ll serve it to you when it’s done. It’s a good amount of food if you pile it correctly in the smaller metal bowl they give you. My husband did an amazing job at this, using taller veggies on the side to add room for piling higher. It can be fun picking out all your own items and the way they grill it is delicious. The things I didn’t like so much, it was freezing in there(maybe because the guys grilling are so sweaty) and some of the items weren’t as fresh as expected. But overall, a great place to eat!

I like the Genghis. I’ve been there a few times in recent weeks and today’s visit was a new experience. They now have these table top ordering things. You can order your drinks, adult beverages and appetizers from your table before anyone gets to you. or if you figure out you want something while they are otherwise engaged. The other neat thing about this new table top experience is you can pay your check from it. You don’t have to ask. beg. flail your arms like someone on fire to get someone’s attention to get a check. Yes, I am a flailer when I have to get back to work quickly. This new little bundle of joy will even let you split the check as many ways as you want. Equally or item by item. I see this as a GREAT thing especially when you want to split things up and someone wants to pay for someone else. You know how many different combinations of who wants to pay for what and how there can be. You can even play a game on it! Oh yes. the place itself. Clean, busy, fresh ingredients, tons of different combinations you can create yourself and 3 different sizes to satisfy any appetite.
