I don’t buy a lot of wine or liquor but when I do I only shop here. Every time I’m here I’m so impressed with the courtesy and knowledge of the staff; no hard sell/​up sell. Always a pleasurable shopping experience.

Greensburg, PA
Grapes Wine Market & Spirits is a little bit more expensive than the major liquor stores in Denver, but they’ve got great service and quality merchandise. The focus is on wine, as you might have guessed from the name, and they have a huge variety, grouped by type/​flavor, with a refrigerated room as well. The owner and others who work here are great at providing suggestions– and I’ve made requests as vague as «something to go with carne asada» and «a white wine my husband can use two cups of for cooking but then won’t suck when I drink the leftovers.» They gave a decent variety of sake, as well as Scotch and other liquors. Their beer selection isn’t as vast, but they do have a good mix of the Colorado breweries.
Not a destination store like Argonaut, Davidson’s or Tipsy’s, but definitely a good place to shop if you’re in the area!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place until now. They made me a regular here when last summer I dropped a six pack of bottles on my way out (my fault!) and they simply gave me another. They were so kind and helped me clean up the sidewalk, took the broken glass and walked back out with another six pack. So nice! Not to mention, whenever I come in looking for particular/​obscure wines or need a recommendation they’re very helpful without being stuffy or judgmental because I’m not a seasoned wino.
I usually stop here only when I’m running other errands in Southglenn since the parking lot, only because it’s shared with Whole Foods, tends to be a pain to get in and out of. I mean, I shop at Whole Foods, but can we all agree… Worst.parking.lots.everrrrrrr… But that’s another review ;)
