Sur La Table

Love me some Sur La Table and so happy to discover that I don’t have to venture down to the chaos that is Park Meadows.
I stopped in here during my lunch hour to get some knives sharpened ($ 5 per knife!) and trade-​in my empty Soda Stream bottle. Things were pretty quiet in the store as they were putting out clearance items and making room for the next season’s décor, but I didn’t mind since the woman that helped me offer to sharpen my knives while I waited! Normally it’s a day or two for them to turn them around, so I happily waited 15 minutes? tops? for her to sharpen my 3 knives. Better 15 minutes in the store than 2 days without my beloved knives!
Anyway, I always love perusing their kitchen décor. They have such cute seasonal stuff — I normally can’t resist buying at least one thing, but nonetheless — it makes for a fun store to browse. They also have a pretty large kitchen for cooking classes at the front of the store. I’ve never taken a class, but they’ve always intrigued me so mental note!
I was also stoked that I could trade-​in my Soda Stream bottle for a refill here. I think it was $ 17.95 when you bring in the empty bottle to recycle? Certainly beats the heck out of buying a new one at $ 25+.

I attended the canning class here and had a great time! Good instruction, fun «classmates,» and awesome results! I learned enough to feel comfortable going home and replicating the recipes and techniques. I would love to come back and try another class!

Pricey, as is to be expected at a Sur La Table, but they did have a lot of items on sale in the back corner. That is, of course, if you can even get to the back corner. There were so many items stacked on the floor and in the aisles it was dangerous trying to get through!

If you need in a kitchen, they have it! It truly is one of the neatest stores ever! From spices to cookware to kitchen gadgets to cooking classes — you name it, it’s here!
The best part is the guarantee… if you don’t like it, simply return it and they will exchange it, replace it, or refund it… no questions asked!

Very disappointed in this particular location. I love Sur La Table, but the manager here could seem to care less about anyone other then the girl who wanted to try out knives. I was trying to register for my wedding and instead of being helpful, the manager gave me a post-​it note and a pen and told me to write down all the item numbers and plug them into the computer. So much for the VIP registration treatment that was claimed. I will always recommend Sur La Table, but never at this location. Go to the Cherry Creek location, they are fantastic there!
