Tommy’s Playhouse

We have had both our children in Amy’s care since they were very small. They are now 6 and 3 and both absolutely adore Amy and the environment at Tommy’s Playhouse. Our youngest still attends twice weekly and always looks forward to his day with Amy and his buddies.
The environment is structured well for various ages and provides plenty of diverse play options. The home is clean inside and out, bright and filled with fun stations for the children to play. Over the years we’ve noticed that the set up continually grows, changes and evolves, so to keep it very interesting for the little ones!
Amy runs a great program for the children and we can only say positive things about this child care establishment. As a parent, understanding the mixed emotions that come with providing care for our children, our babies (!), it is a tremendous relief knowing your kids are in capable hands.
If you get a spot consider yourself lucky!!!

Both of my children were in Amy’s care since infancy. She is steady as a rock, fair but fun and accommodating when she can be. I feel Amy prepared my children extremely well for preschool and beyond. Because of her excellent mentoring and childcare I have maintained a wonderful relationship with Amy and her son to this day.

Amy is amazing. Our daughter has been going to Tommy’s Playhouse 4 days a week (10 hours a day) since she was 3 months old. Amy has helped us raise our sweet baby, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. I appreciate all the educational, artistic, and physical activities she plans for the kids everyday. And I really appreciate that she doesn’t just sit the kids in front of a TV all day (in the 15 months that my daughter has been going the kids have watched 1 or 2 movies total, that’s it). My daughter has learned so much from Amy and from the other kids there, everyday when I pick her up she is saying or doing something new. I highly recommend Tommy’s Playhouse!

I was excited to hear about an opening here, and my husband and I set up a tour right away. Amy’s home is lovely and completely set up to be a place for children to thrive. Her living room doesn’t feel like a living room, it feels like a classroom. Everything is clean, organized and child friendly.
Amy herself is very warm and our daughter took to her right away. She operates like a professional and has been very prompt in her responses. It’s clear that childcare is what she loves to do! We are very excited for our daughter to start here.

I have been bringing my son John to Tommy’s Playhouse for several years now. It undoubtedly has been the best decision I have ever made ~ I am SO THANKFUL I met Amy and she had an opening. As a former Nanny for most of my life, EXCELLENT child care is so hard to find these days. I consider Amy a second Mom to my son. Her care for the kids come first before anything else and you can tell just by how happy they are everyday! She’s the best!
