The best grilled chicken salad and ribs anywhere! Reasonably priced and open 24 hours. Service is good most of the time but on May 8 at 11 am waited an hour for breakfast so we walked out. Happy Mothers Day! 2 waitresses but slow service and no crowds. Go figure???

Omg why tf do they have people waiting for an hour when there is only 3 people in line. I used to love this place but now I don’t ever want to go back! How they hell does it take an hour each order?!?

Every Time i have tried to eat there, the food was terrible, i got sick plus the order was always wrong. The customer service is terrible. I finally gave up going there. I definitely would not recommend going there & I refuse to go back. Im thinking of reporting to the BBB. TERRIBLE!

A nice chill spot for a late night meal. They seem to get enough business to keep the lights on and the grill fired up but it isn’t packed with drunken idiots like, say, National Coney Island. I haven’t had their coneys but their fish and chips is decent, the burgers are good and the breakfasts are awesome. I’m having a hard time exploring more of the menu as I just keep wanting to get breakfast. As others have remarked the waitresses are very waitressy. You might get one that’s sweet or one that’s standoffish, but they’re always prompt and competent. I haven’t yet seen one who’s one of those phoney chatterboxes who puts on an act that she’s your new best bud to get tips and that’s fine with me. I love the classic waitress types this place has. I bet Charlene from the Bronx would like eating here. They have TVs in all 4 corners that I sometimes half pay attention to and an interesting collection of vending machines in the foyer. I sometimes waste 50 cents on little Family Guy plastic figurines as I find them amusing for some reason. This place is a classic late night diner. Maybe one day I’ll actually come here in the daytime and write an update.

What can I say? It’s a coney island. Although not part of one of the chains(Kerby’s, National), everything seems to be on par. Expect classics such as coney dogs(chili dogs with mustard and onions) and hannis(pitas with fried chicken, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and ranch). Prices have risen a bit over the past few years, but I see it as a convenience charge for being open 24 hours. One of the usual late night waitresses is a bit standoffish, but the rest of the wait staff is pleasant enough. Definitely a Center Line hometown favorite.

I had breakfast here a while back and it was pretty tasty. It was completely empty at 8:30 in the morning but that could be because folks were already at their jobs for the day. Anyways I would definitely recommend the breakfast options here. Coffee was OK. Service was very pleasant. I’d come back if I was on that side of town.

Love this Coney Island! The servers are very nice and the food is great. The broasted chicken is delicious. Burgers and fries are a winner as well. I haven’t tried the Coney Island hot dogs simply because I don’t care for hot dogs. The prices are very reasonable and they are open 24 hours. They also have excellent breakfast that they serve 24 hours. Imo this place blows National Coney Island out of the water.

Cannot speak for the rest of the menu, but avoid the broasted chicken. No seasoning or marinade whatsoever! Chicken, flour, and grease.

What a lost cause. Menus falling apart, sticky floor. But worst of all, completely inflexible. Coney special with 2 coney’s I wanted to substitute the chicago dog which HADTHESAMEMENUPRICE. Nope, we cannot do that. I refuse to go back here. I like to support community business but not when customer s come second.

It’s funny, you know… I live in California, but I’ve eaten here more times than a lot of the restaurants in my own neighborhood. I only mention that, because I feel that my opinion on these kinds of places lacks a sort of substance, given that I suck at life and can’t really eat anything they offer. Having been here a few times, however, I feel that I have something of a foot hold. The servers ranged from really sweet and funny, to having that really«no-nonsense» kind of attitude, which was also kind of funny. You know what I mean, right? That whole«what’ll it be, honey?» kind of thing. You don’t see that in California, so it’s really cool to see it in real life. It speaks to my idea of midwest sensibilities. I know they’re all pretty much wrong, but dammit if I don’t like to see them substantiated. Anyway, I quite enjoyed their hash browns. I had them 3 times, and they were delicious. I’m not sure what could ever be wrong about a fried potato, really, but these were really quite tasty. I can also tell you that the soup here is pretty fantastic, but the chili, however, is not. Both of those opinions come to you from sources other than myself, but sources that I nonetheless trust. Also, it makes me cry to see that prices this cheap exist… because where I’m from, cheap is merely a fairy tale. I’d like to be as profound as my Luca’s reviewing predecessor, but I have not the ties to this area that he does. Suffice it to say, though, that I do hope businesses like this do well and that I’m happy to have visited. They also serve tea, so… they couldn’t be bad anyway.

I grew up in Center Line, a small town just outside of Detroit in the dead-center of Warren. Most people, even locally, haven’t heard of it. There’s not much going on there, especially for teens and people who don’t keep 9 – 5, normal, blue-collar lives. I was lucky, as a teenager, to have a little 24-hour dive diner called The Candle to spend my nights and weekends at. Alas, the Candle closed in the 90s and got replaced with a check-cashing place(a common and sad affliction of the Center Line area). The area around there has lacked a good 24-hour dive for years. Even National Coney Island(the Wal-mart of coney restaurants) stopped staying open 24 hours(well, during weekdays). When this location, which used to be a Burger King and then an all-you-can-eat pizza joint, reopened as a family diner, I was excited to see the«Open 24 hours» sign on the window. I dared to hope, but my dreams came true: Center Line now has a 24 hour diner again, and it’s actually good. No, really. It’s a step above the normal«We reheat, fry, and otherwise re-purpose bulk food from Sysco and GFS» diners that Michigan is so enamored with. One time I was at another diner and I asked them: «Do you serve ANYTHING homemade here?» and they just looked at me like I was an alien. I’m happy to say that Luca’s does indeed have things that are homemade. The owner makes the vegetable soup from a family recipe. The tzatziki sauce for gyros is from scratch(and good). My spirits rise. There is still someone out there who cares! You can serve inexpensive food at 3am that is good! The prices are right, and if diner food had a five-star scale, this would be a 5. Look, it’s not fancy. It’s mostly the same as you’d find at any coney restaurant, but it’s made with care and the place is large, well-lit, and very clean. The only bad thing I had here was the broasted chicken. It had a brand name that escapes me, and they will cater 200 piece meals, but the chicken just wasn’t very tasty. Anyways, I’m glad Luca’s is here. If you’re hungry at 3am and close to 696, you’ll do well by coming here.
