Got the chicken pie to go for lunch. Quite disappointing. Small piece of pie and a scoop of squash for 8.50. Tasted good but not worth the money.

I’ve been going to Centerville Pie since 2008 for my fix of delicious pies! Naturally, when I got married on the Cape in October, I thought what better dessert then PIE! Instead of cake, we went all pie and ice cream from Four Seas! And let me just say, our guest had thirds. Their pies are always delicious, my favorites being the WILDBLUEBERRY and the MIXEDBERRY. Of course, their apple pie is a staple. The staff was super accommodating for our wedding, and delivered fresh pies on the morning of our wedding. Thank you Centerville Pie!

I was very disappointed in the gravy in this pie, or lack of gravy. It was grey and white in color with the consistency of water(I think water is thicker) It looked more like run off from the chicken. I seriously dont understand all the raves about this pie, especially given the price they charge. I actually thought maybe they forgot the gravy, but no, because silly me had purchased two pies and both had the same watery grey juice instead of thick creamy country style gravy(which all good New England Chicken Pies have). I gave two stars because the crust was pretty good. Carol

I received a chicken pie and apple pie as a gift from my co-workers. They were absolutely outstanding! As others have said the chicken our doesn’t have vegetables inside. I microwaved a small bag of mixed vegetables to have with the pie. Adding the vegetables was a nice addition. The chicken pie had lots of tender chicken and gravy. The crust was flaky and buttery. The apple pie had lots of chunks of apple inside. Both were a huge success in our household. I will be buying some after the holidays for the family to enjoy on the cold winters night. I highly recommend this company for gifts or for dinner for the family!

I was very disappointed. We had a frozen apple pie and the apples seemed as if they were left out too long. On their way to being dehydrated. The skins were on most of the apples. I am guessing they got too big for their britches and took too many short cuts.

Came here for a slice of pie before we left tge cape. Usually we buy a frozen pie and eat at home later. I had a piece or key apple sausage and sage pie which was wonderful and then a piece of key lime pie for desert. Highly recommend this place make this a stop when yiur down the cape.

Stopped in on my annual cape cod trip. Saw the great reviews. Made my friends try it with me… Savory Pies: The chicken pie with gravy was really good. Took other Unilocalers’ tip about adding a side of veggies. Would definitely get that pie again. Also tried the sausage/apple/sage pie. Solid all around. Over all a really hearty filling meal. Sweet pies: key lime pie filling was good bur the crust was fantastic. The cape cod crunch pie was OK. Wish there was more heath bar on top though. The ladies at the shop were super friendly and helpful. This is definitely a worthwhile stop.

So here I am back at centerville. Too long of an absence, let me tell you. I have a few days on the cape in a cabin and I got my chicken pie, a berry pie and some muffins. A lobster and I’m set. This is the best chicken pie ever. You are paying for meat. Not cheap veggies. Buy a frozen pot pie from banquet if you want that. Or buy a sack of veg if you must need it on the side. I will stick to cranberry sauce. This is the best New England chicken pie you can buy. Fabulous. The people in shop are wonderful too. Call ahead if you want hot baked pies. You can always take home frozen to bake. I’m stopping on the way home to NY in a few days. I’m persona non grata if I don’t bring home these pies!!!

Stopped here on a Friday morning to pick up some chicken pie and something sweet. We opted for the blueberry pie and the cape cod crunch pie. The chicken pie: got it frozen to have later. I was looking through the ingredients and was shocked to see that there were no vegetables. I was very disappointed to see this but was going to the grocery store later and decided to pick up a bag of mixed veggies(carrots, peas, corn, green beans). I mixed the veggies with my helping of the pie and it was delicious. The pie itself was moist and the chicken was melt-in-your-mouth good. The crust was delicious and flaky and just YUM. I can see how some people could enjoy the pie without the veggies but I grew up with veggies in my chicken pot pie and it adds a lot of flavor. So big tip is to buy a .99 cent bag of frozen veggies to have with the pie if you bring it home! The sweet pie: the cape cod crunch pie was absolutely amazing. Seriously, this is one of the best chocolate pies I’ve ever had. Incredibly light yet decadent. The toffee adds the perfect amount of crunch. Make sure to keep it in the fridge! The blueberry pie was nothing to write home about but it was tasty and refreshing. I wish the filling was juicier because it’s basically just sweetened-up blueberries. Take the trip and plan accordingly :)

Delicious! Just purchased this evening & baked for dinner! A hit! I love that it’s just chicken, gravy and crust. We had lots of vegetables on the side. THANKYOU!

Not sure why there are any other than 5 star reviews. Obviously we all have our opinions but the pies we have bought over the past 5 years have been delicious. One thing to also keep in mind is how low in sodium these pies are compared to the more mass produced versions. Also, please keep in mind that in 2010 they began partnering with Cape Abilities, a local non-profit organization that creates opportunities and supports adults with disabilities across Cape Cod. Centerville Pie employs numerous disabled adults that help cut the chicken and greet guests at their retail store on Cape Cod. What a wonderful thing they have done by helping these persons live meaningful, active lives.

Absolutely terrible chicken pie. We’ve heard the commercials on WBZ. We bought on at Roche Brothers in Marshfield. The package shows gravy. The one from Roche Brothers was dry and no gravy! The chicken was encased in gelatin. Cooked according to instructions. I wish I had read the ½/2015 review. Same problem as them. Maybe they changed the recipe for their chicken pies in 2015.

My favorite farm stand at Capabilities sells Centerville Pie Co. I sampled the pumpkin pie. The crust was nice. The filling was A-OK but nothing to rave about. A small pie for two was 9.99.

For the second week in a row I have went to the centerville pie company for Sunday breakfast. For the second week in a row the inexplicable rudeness from the staff has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Last week, the food as usual was very good, the people behind counter were also friendly. Our waitress however was extremely rude, our waitress was a 20 something, snotty, rude, entitled person. She treated us as if it was a chore to be bothered by us. When more than 1 person asked for milk for their coffee made it perfectly clear that we would only be getting 1 side of milk that we could share. Not that I mind sharing it, most times that is how it works. We enjoyed the food and tipped well. Because the food was so good, we decided to try our luck again. This time we did not even make it through the door. With a formidable storm, torrential downpours, and 50mph gust of winds the staff decided it had to take their time in reattaching a chain to the door then letting us inside. After we stood in the the rain/wind for two minutes as the staff watched on as we became saturated we decided to go somewhere a little more«welcoming». Although the food is great, for my sanity, I will not be back.

I love the chocolate cream pie here. It’s just simply amazing. It’s rich yet very light. The people behind the counter have no issues answering any questions you have and they are always very pleasant. They have a wide variety of different pies. Including frozen ones. The place is worth it. A little pricey but absolutely worth it.

I really do not understand the bad reviews about this place. The people who are writing bad reviews are probably just disgruntled for some reason. Anyways, we came with a party of 7. The place was small so we had to split up which was no problem at all. I ordered the Pie Sampler which came with two slices of pie. I ordered the Chicken pie and the sweet potato shepards pie. It was really really good! I’m so sad that we don’t have one of these in New York. I would go there all the time. I can see why Oprah loves this place. Def worth stopping by on our way back to a The Empire State.

I love this place! The chicken pie is, of course, incredible. For dessert pie, definitely try the Cape Cod Crunch, its sweet chocolatey goodness. Their small restaurant area is a fantastic cheap breakfast or lunch option. Homemade food cooked fast. I have to warn you though, last time I was there the chicken noodle soup had butternut squash in it(which does not belong in chicken noodle soup!). Their chicken salad is sold by the pint for $ 9, which is fantastic compared to deli choices like Willow Tree. Staff are courteous and make you feel very welcome! And the owners are almost always there ringing up pies and running things. Best of all, they employ individuals from CapeAbilities also donate to them regularly. Just a wonderful local business.
