I had the same bad experience over the phone with Chris Corrigan today as the woman from Lincoln a couple of years ago. After belittling me for needed a mover on short notice, he then told me that he couldn’t understand why I didn’t find him on Angie’s List since they are the first on the list (not true). After giving me a loud and rude explanation of the rules regarding movng in R.I., and also how they are the number one company in the state, he said that if I booked and then canceled he would charge a $ 324 fee and the call was being recorded! I really don’t see how he could charge me any fee, but I think it’s just part a bullying tactic. I’m glad I wasn’t in such a jam that I had to work with this company, based on the stressful/​negative experience over the phone. I called Economy Movers and they fit me in and didn’t threaten me with a bogus fee if I cancelled, simply saying to please let them know as soon as possible if my plans changed.

Horrible to deal with Chris Corrigan. Billed us for 4 hrs to move a bed and a hope chest from Attleboro to North Attleboro. Picked up only one piece in error and had to return for the second piece. All this after having a telephone conversation earlier where I described the two peices for pick up.
I’ll never use this service again and suggest that others do the same.

My parents used them to move within RI and had a great experience. When my mom suggested them to move furniture from RI to MA, I gave them a call. Chris was able to give me an estimate that was way more reasonable than the moving companies in MA.
When the day came for the big move, the crew was so efficient and very friendly! And it wasn’t an easy move (at least for my eyes), carrying heavy furniture down from the 2^nd floor up to the 2^nd and even 3^rd floor of our new home. But they did it, and did it with great personalities as well.
The final price turned out to be less than the quote (always a pleasant surprise). We were very pleased with their services and would not hesitate to use them again (although I don’t want to move for a very long time)! I highly recommend this company.
Also, Chris drives that huge truck like a beast — very impressive.

Moved from a very small 1 bedroom apt so I don’t have many items. It was difficult to find companies that didn’t require a minimum number of hours or charges. Or to find someone that would show up to give a quote. Calling to schedule the move date was easy and smooth. Got a call two days before to confirm too. Had Al’s crew and they were great. Movers showed up on time. Price came in within the quoted range over the phone and was on the lower end of the range. Guys had to hoist stuff down over the balcony from the 2^nd floor. They were very careful, nothing was damaged, and no injuries. They worked fast with no delays. Would absolutely use them again or recommend them to any one!

Very reliable and did an excellent jog.
Can’t say enough about how great the movers were. Very professional, on time and did the work in less time than quoted. Not like some workers. they do not take a break or stand around and talk. did there job and left.
I will definitely use them again and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Also, Chris Corrigan was excellent to work with and very helpful.

Just had Al’s crew help move us this week. Very professional guys that are friendly and have good sense of humor. They don’t take breaks and are very efficient and helpful. I had a lamp that needed to be disassembled and they took their time to help. They were recommended by friends and I will definitely recommend them as well.

I understand that last minute is not ideal to schedule moving but for my situation it was unavoidable. When I called this morning Chris Corrigan answered and he was extremely rude and unprofessional. He actually laughed at me. I’m in the customer service industry and would never treat someone the way he treated me. ALL SET… Would never use them even if they were FREE. In this day with social media… BIG MISTAKE Chris!!! If your company is so great why haven’t you hired a more profesional receptionist? Such a shame that a «family owned business» is handled by an arrogant individual. I wish you the best of luck.

They guys that moved my furniture, CJ, Manny, and Jake were so professional and polite. They moved everything really quickly and did not damage a thing. I had my stuff moved to storage and they wrapped some things in blankets so they wouldn’t break or get dirty. I am very happy with their service. When I move again in a few weeks I am definitely using them.

I have used Chris Corrigan Movers 3 times, and it has been a wonderful experience each time. The crew is fast, helpful and even had me laughing during a should-​be stressful experience. It is obvious why they’ve been in business for over 100 years when you witness their efficiency. I could not imagine a moving experience without Chris Corrigan Moving Inc.

For a business owner, Chris Corrigan has absolutely poor communication skills.

In my opinion, WORST ever. Ill try to keep this short: Forced me to sign an insurance waiver, which covers 60 cents on the lb for damaged goods, though the employee could not explain why i had to sign it or what it is. They were so grumpy the whole time. I understand that it was new years eve, but it was in the MORNING, soon as they arrived they were grumpy and complained the whole time about having to work that day. Among other big complaints, when moving my fridge through one of the doorways, it was a tight fit but they just shove things through doorways instead of measuring first to see which way needs to go, and they didn’t listen to me on which way it needs to go through… he wanted to make a wager with me, I should have since I won. They marked up the walls a lot when moving it through. On top of that, I removed the doors myself so they wouldnt get damaged during removal/​shipping, and low and behold there is a big dent and lots of scratches now on the door. They werent even moved with the fridge ! He took off his «maximum» insurance amount of 200 lbs @ the 60 cents, so I guess $ 120 is supposed to make me feel better about a dent on a perfect working fridge. He tried to make it seem like he was doing me a favor, yet that’s what he WAS SUPPOSED TO DO minimum, there was no favors there. Lastly, they charge you from the time the truck leaves the office to the time it gets back. They were finished at 11:30am, the guy wrote down arrival back as 12:30pm. Where we moved to was 20 minutes from there office, so I dont understand where that HOUR comes in, unless he thinks I was paying him to take lunch. (They actually did that to me the first time but I didnt fuss about it, I had them move me before and they were better.) I hope I never have to move out of the house I just purchased, but if for some reason I do, you can be certain it won’t be with the help (or lack of help) from Chris Corrigan Moving. The owner is so rude when you call him to complain. He takes it so personally when you complain about his employees. Its as if they were his kids you were complaining about. He needs to learn how to take feedback… oh and learn how to get his employees not to be so rough with people’s personal items.

Showed up on time, friendly and did the job in less time and less money than quoted over the phone. I am moving out of town but if I was around, I would call these guys again. Well done.
