I choose Hawaaian Hut quite frequently for lunch. I have a half-hour and it’s close enough to grab my food and eat it before returning to work. Today, I walked in and was the only person in line. The young lady behind the counter informed that they just got a shipment in, so if I wanted chicken, it would be a 15 minute wait. Being on a time-crunch I opted to order a steak meal, which was $ 2 more than my usual meal. After 20 minutes of not receiving my meal, I was frustrated. I remarked to the cashier that I should have ordered the chicken. Still waiting for my food, I used the restroom. When I came out of the restroom, she had my food bagged and ready to go she apologized for the wait, and I left still feeling miffed. When I was able to get to my lunch on my break, I realized she had placed«Hut Bucks» in my bag, entitling me to one free entrée. Although it took them a long time, they attempted to reconcile my concerns. My suggestion is this; if you wanna grab a good lunch and have no expectation of expediency, Hawaaian Hut is a great place to go. If you’re in a hurry, pick something that may be quicker.

Beyond disappointed in myself for treating reviews of my fellow Unilocalers! I paid no attention to the 4&5 star reviews were from those with only couple of reviews. Yet, our Elites gave them 1 or 2 stars. Go figure. This place serves you a large amount of down right nasty food.

Good food and reasonable prices. Personally I prefer the«hawaiin time in Eugene Oregon more but this one is still not bad. I come here usually once every month or so. #4 is bomb!

There is good to even *very* good Hawaiian food to be had in the lilly-white, inland Rogue Valley. Unfortunately, this place ain’t it. What I tried here I wouldn’t serve to guests at a backyard picnic. Pride of craftsmanship, or something like that. The mac salad was old— at least a day old, but probably much older than that. I should have known something was amiss when I opened the to-go carton I could swear I heard the sound of «meh» coming from the yawning aperture from within. The rice refused to even put up any pretense of being glad to be there, let alone, to please the hungry guests at hand *ahem*. The kalua pig was smokey, which is more than I can say for several bbq-type places I’ve tried, recently. But the pork was D-R-Y, the one sin you must never commit w/this heavenly manna, the youngsters working the counter at the Hut were clearly oblivious and would have doubtlessly failed if you paid them 50 grand to pretend to care. Can’t conceive a good reason to ever go back to th is place… maybe if they expanded the limited menu(no fish/seafood at all, no chicken long rice, no loco moco, no musubi, no saimin etc etc) I might then give ‘em another try. They are apparently just finishing out their second year in business, so consider this a sophomore slump. I do hope they find their way out it, bad Hawaiian food is a crying shame.

Portion sizes are generous. Unfortunately the meat seemed to be cooked ahead of time and not freshly grilled. We ordered 3 things to share, though one can’t remember the exact names — Kahlua pig, teriyaki chicken and teriyaki steak. The pig was the best of the three. The chicken and steak were both a bit dry and overcooked. Mac salad was so so. On positive side, service was very friendly, and food came out quickly.

We stopped in here for a quick lunch. This was our first time eating here, and we loved it!!! First, the guy behind the counter was very helpful in making our choices for lunch. He made great suggestions. The food was served quickly and it was hot and fresh. A few moments later another young man came out from the back and started talking to us. Again, a really friendly guy. We will come back for sure!

The service is fast and good as well as the food. The prices are fair and the people there remember your name… which is actually pretty cool. Everything seems really fresh and everyone is really nice. I only usually do take out so I can’t say how the dining in experience is, but the décor is nice and the place is really clean so I can’t imagine it being bad. I personally like this place better than Nohos, but they both have there merits so don’t hate on Hawaiian Hut before you try it!

Went to this establishment around 730 on a friday night. Walked in with a young girl at the register. No hello, or reconition we have walked in(mind you no other customers were there). We walked up to the register with her talking to some guy(cook?) We stood in silence for a few uncomfortable seconds untill i had to ask for a menu. We ordered teriyaki chicken with mac salad, and some hawiian soda. Very generous portions of… trash! The chicken was tough reminded me of leather. It tasted weeks old even drownded with sauces. The worst was the bone dry mac salad. They might as well just boiled some noodles let them dry, and served them on my plate. They should definitely takes some tips from noho’s! The place was clean, and that hawiian soda is amazing! THISPLACEIS A NOHO’S KNOCKOFF. Save yourself the disapointment go to noho’s! !

Best Hawaiian food I have ever had. The lava chicken is spectacular and full of flavor! Large portions and two people can easily get out of here full for $ 10.

What a disappointment!!! We got the Scorch beef and teri chicken in one plate and bought a side of mac salad. The scorch beef was good. The chicken had been sitting around for way too long… it was difficult to swallow because it was so dry. The mac salad was downright disgusting. It looked like it was coated with oil and the mayo looks curdled. The teri sauce on the table tastes like a bad generic brand. What a waste of $ 17.

We got takeout and the food was made fast and was ready when we got there which is what you usually want. They only have Pepsi products, which is dumb but I can’t give 5 stars to a place that serves that horrible product. It looked like the variety was large and it didn’t all seem like the same thing.

Been driving passed this place for quite some time now. Finally decided to step in the door. As soon as I did it smelled heavenly! Yummm… I got the volcanic beef over rice. Gooooood stuff. I ordered it hot, and to my surprise… it was actually spicy! Added a little teriyaki and soy sauce, and we were all set. I also tried a little bit of the Hawaiian pork. That was amazing stuff. Definitely return, portions are pretty good for the price you pay!

I have lived in the islands and I know that this isn’t completely authentic; however, it is still good. You get to choose from 3 sizes for each meal which is great. I only need a small and its a great price and I am not rolling out of there. They give you the option of brown or white rice which again I love! The macraoni salad is probably the most authentic… simple yet tasty. I make a mean kalua pork and it is even better in the islands… this one is good but not amazing. It does the job of filling a craving but it could certainly be better. It isn’t smokey enough for my taste. Other than the pork, I have only had the spicy chicken and it was good. I mostly give this the 4 star because it is a great value for the price with lots of menu options.

This place is top notch. I can’t get enough of their food. Extremely reasonably priced. And the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The service staff have always been polite and personable. Something of a rarity this day and age!

This is my FAVORITE place to grab delicious food! Everything is always perfect. A large is big enough to feed and satisfy 2 people. Speaking of satisfy… I always mention after we leave here how satisfying this food is to my taste buds. Everything is yummy. try it all(especially the macaroni salad!!!)

This is the worst Hawaiian food ever! The teriyaki chicken looks like chunks of doodoo. It’s not grilled that I can tell just looks like and tastes like old chicken that’s been sitting in a crappy teriyaki sauce for days! Do not eat here trust me I have had this type of food all over the state and never tasted and seen such a way of making this food. A true slap in the face to the islands, this place should change there name cause it ain’t right!!!

I returned to HH for another plate lunch – the teri chicken with veggies and noodles that also included the obligatory macaroni salad and rice. Based on the healthiness of a mixed vegetable servicing, I still give four stars but the veggies this time were just a bit over-cooked. Meat, veggies with noodles is a traditional Chinese dish and the Chinese cooks were famous for cooking vegetables until tender but not limp – an art. The décor seems to turn off some people. It is industrial with galvanized steel wainscoting, vases and trash can. Campy or maybe tacky Hawaii decorations are on the walls. If this really turns you off, this is not your kind of place. Maybe I am a trailer park kind of guy. I remember long ago in Honolulu when I barely made more than basic expenses. For a good meal I’d go down to the waterfront and into the Tasty Broiler, an old restaurant that didn’t look like much but served excellent and cheap meals. The seafood was fresh off the boats and the lobster dinner was so ono(good)!

Heh. Hawaiian. That’s funny. As though any sort of even remotely authentic ethnic restaurant would survive in Central Point. As you probably guessed — BLAND. Only redeeming quality? It’s pretty cheap. Chicken/beef & rice for $ 5. And seriously — get a real trash can! This isn’t a construction site!

We went for lunch today using our Limelight coupon. First off, the ambiance is basically akin to an Extreme Juice– they are identical, complete with young girls in studded jeans with white stitching working the counter. Hardly the promised authentic Hawaiian vibe. As for the food, make no mistake, this is also not authentic. This is Hawaiian food prepared by white people, which means it has very little flavor. I had the kahlua pork and the teri beef. The pork had zero taste other than the teri sauce I poured on top just so I could shove it down. The beef was ok, nothing great. My friend had the spicy chicken– there was no spice at all. She hated it. The macaroni salad was edible, but that’s about all I can say. I didn’t like it really, but I didn’t hate it either. It too was very blah. The best part was that these people can make white rice. Bravo! Last, their garbage can is bizarrely placed in between two tables and is one with a removable lid so you are forced to touch it to put your garbage away. First, that’s gross and germy, second, I felt badly for the people at the table next to the garbage can. Please move that thing away from where people are trying to eat. We agreed none of us would ever go back.
