We are from out of town and really liked this place. Good service with small town feel/vibe we were looking for. The décor is pretty outdated, however depending on your perspective it adds to the charm. The food was good and the waitress was very attentive.

Good food, prices and service. The portions are large for the price. Pancakes were really good.

Food’s always good n plenty. Service is friendly with the interactive locals, much like a kind family atmosphere. :)

The food and staff are fantastic! Love it every time! However, the décor??? Ugh! Blue walls, and old Christmas decoration, fall photos, tropical theme… depends on what direction you look. Building has a strange layout, but they definitely could just do a basic warm color paint and stick with one theme. And get rid of that dead Christmas decoration that is «sentimental» because it is the first decoration they got… or gift… or something. It is dead and looks like you just don’t care.!! And sweep up the floor. Stuff all over it does nothing for consumer confidence. From someone who hopes you can stick around.

Wow. Seated for more than an hour, waited 51 minutes for food that never came. Waitress explained how very busy they were, as we watched several tables that came in after us get served, eat, and leave before we even got all of the silverware we repeatedly reminded her we needed. We finally left, still hungry, and went elsewhere. We will not be troubling The Very Busy Palms with our order again. Very poor business practices and attitude for a small town business.

To be described in one word would be FILTHY! My gut Instinct was to turn around and leave!(I wish we had). One dirty coffee cup with dried lipstick which the waitress didn’t apologize for. The French-fries served tasted like they had been fried in the same grease with fish! Disgusting to say the least! When paying at the counter and noticing the coffee pot sitting there, I’ve never seen anything so dirty! I don’t even want to think about what lurks in the kitchen! All I’m left to say is the health department needs to pay a visit!

I would refrain from coming here. The chicken fried steak was straight out of the freezer. The hash browns and breakfast potatoes were out of a bag. The red onions on the breakfast potatoes were raw. Pancakes were like rubber. Everything seemed like it was out of the frozen food section.

Great little diner with good biscuits and gravy! Normal diner service, but the food is delicious. Definitely think it’s rated a little low by other reviewers.

Very nice people but they need to work on their customer service. The restaurant is an old odd shaped building but the food made up for it. Had an issue while we were there where people who came in 15 minutes(no exaggeration) after we did got their food before us. Once our food came the waitress acted like nothing happened, like we wouldn’t have noticed that it took half an hour to make an omelette? I had to ask her why we were forgot about. Her answer, our ticket didn’t print and then a mouthed(not sincere) apology. I wasn’t looking for free food or a discount, just some recognition that they screwed up and an apology for making us wait so long with no communication. Very odd behavior for a family run establishment. I paid full price, and was happy to and left a good tip, FYI. Ultimately, the food was really good and the coffee tastes like fresh ground. Made up for much of the delay.

A great family-owned business, that strives for nothing but the best! They are quick to get food and drinks for you. Just a small, cute restaurant that has the small town feel! Totally good to me :)

A property fitting its name, The Palms floating in sea of pavement, is a pom-poms cheery service and a no-frills standardized American breakfast. This little hut brings the hardy portions for those«value» purveyors needing that double-wide plating. They will make you second guess that Grand Slam down the road. Digs: Across from the highly coveted Dollar Store we parked and entered the only door that doubled as a backdoor by the narrow blast of bathrooms, hallway and hungry gawking tables; an unusual setup where the cash register buzzed in the center of this L-shaped eatery; walls painted in shades of blue, local waterfall photos hung opposite of our plush booth but the décor was mostly barren; the furniture and a glimpse of the kitchen displayed years of loving abuse; Ate: Titled — «Comfort Food» Bacon, Hash-browns + Dos Eggs & Split Pancake — a proud plate that delivered the expectation; thick glistening bacon slightly overdone; a fluffed buttermilk pancake that was soon washed in maple syrup; two eggs«over-medium» whites cooked leaving the yolks slithering; hash was a blushing brown just needing a good salt dusting; Drank: Coffee, Coffee, Coffee — they spoiled us with the constant«top-offs» never seeing the bottom of our cups; Service: Greeted with a bubbly«hello» the young female staff whizzed by on a high octane caffeine; they were dishing out heaping piles of ham along with the customer’s order; strangely we noticed along with the booming giggles their faces were competing for a beauty pageant by the level of makeup utilized; no point against them and probably a tipping magnet, but shout-out to Vegas; our waitress was very attentive and warm throughout the course; Overall: The Palms Café stays true to the famously comfortable and affordable breakfast. Come here starving and leave needing a lullaby for your food baby. No surprises await you here but that’s the hidden charm in these roadside time capsules.

Service was good. But I got the biscuits and gravy which was terrible. The biscuits were soggy and the gravy didn’t have any meat?!? Haven’t had the rest of their menu tho but don’t order the biscuits and gravy

Went to brunch with a friend here to catch up– the space is quaint, yet a nice open-concept booth seating. The staff was friendly & patient, which was nice– always on top of refilling low water glasses, too. Had their veggie eggs benedict– added ham for a buck more… it wasn’t bad, though there was a screwup in getting mine without tomato. Hollandaise was mediocre, but not broken, so it was still tasty. On top of that, it was nice I was treated– only needed to help cover the tip. Overall, not too bad experience & probably a safe bet for a decent breakfast in future recommendations.

The Palms restaurant is Awesome for weekend breakfast! Reasonably priced, you get a lot of food what you spend, quick service and the servers are very polite. Better than Black Bear, Roosters, Shari’s, Spicers. I’ll be back soon!

From the outside it defiantly doesn’t look like a restaurant, and even the inside is oddly shaped, but the food was delicious. I had one of their skillets and my husband had an omelette with pumpkin pancakes. The waitress recommended he try them with Apple butter and they were to die for. Décor needs updated but overall, they’ve got something here!

I was so disappointed when we tried this restaurant for breakfast. You walk in the the place is dirty, dirty, dirty. The floors were disgusting. We thought about walking out right then but it’s very small and everybody sees you when you step thru the door. The waitresses would fly by our table and do the toss and walk with our silverware, food, etc. without saying anything and then just stare at you from their desk. The crepes were sickeningly sweet, the scramble mediocre and quite frankly I was scarfing down the food so I could get out of there because I was so freaked out by how dirty the floors were. I was afraid to think about the kitchen. Will never, ever, ever be returning.

Best tri tip dip I’ve ever had. The sweet potato fries weren’t the best and probably not worth the extra $ 1. Stick with the regular fries, they were great.

Love this place. The staff is friendly and the food fits what you expect from a café. I love the club or turkey croissant. The fries with fry sauce are very tasty. This place never disappoints.

The service is excellent and friendly the food is not. I asked for a medium rare burger and got an overcooked piece of shoe leather…
