This is a restaurant that genuinely cares about each and every bit of food that comes out. It’s fresh, it’s delicious and it’s clear they care about your experience. The fried mashed potatoes are little pillows of happiness and everything we had for a meal was amazing. The owner is almost always present making sure everything is eighth, you can tell they really want it to be perfect. Love this place.

This place is excellent. We stopped here as a quick detour on our way up to Canada and were not disappointed. For one, the staff is very helpful. Most places I’ve eaten around here are not the most responsible with my food allergies, but the waitress here knew exactly what was in everything and even went back to talk to the chef to make sure everything was okay. As for the food, there were many options on the menu that I’d liked to have tried, but the chicken gyro I had was both a large portion and tasty, and the fries were pretty good. Given the option, I’d love to eat here again.

We just ate a takeout order from Akropolis, and woohoo, good stuff! My daughter had a fish sandwich, with fries… Which was awesome. The breading on the fish was crispy and delicious, reminded me of a mozzarella stick! My wife had Spanakopita(spinach pie), and she loved it. And I had pizza. Awesome crust, crispy and delicious, and the sauce is yummy too! I highly recommend this place. We live in Brewerton and drove to pick it up. Only way it could be better, is if they delivered! :)

It’s actually spelled Akropolis. This place is great. The Greek food is so flavorful compared to other establishments, and I’ve been to many Greek restaurants in NY and NJ. The Italian dishes are delicious, too. Everything looks and tastes fresh. We recently booked(at the last minute) a post-funeral luncheon. The owners/managers were extremely helpful, kind and caring. The food was wonderful and ready early– which was perfect since the funeral ended earlier than expected. Prices: reasonable– especially for the quality and quantity of the food. (I wish we lived closer, I’d hardly ever cook!) Atmosphere: casual. Alcoholic beverages available(amazed and pleased that they had Reisling!).

The Acropolis looks like any one of a thousand other Greek pizza joints, but it’s got some extra touches which bring us back time and time again. First, the pizza itself. This is a thin-crust, NYC-style pie, which I’m not usually a big fan of, but these guys do it right — toppings are fresh and plentiful, and the variety is great. My personal favorite is the garlic pizza; lots of roasted garlic dotting the surface and a flavor that just pops. The chili, when in season, is unique and excellent — an excellent blend of spices that remain«Mama’s secret» but which include some very different options. All of the classic Greek dishes are here; very well prepared and the food is plentiful. In terms of atmosphere — while there is a dining area and the servers are friendly and efficient, it’s obvious that the primary business is take-out — the servers are also pulling pizzas and helping in the kitchen.
