Tehachapi clone is unique and fantastic. The only«white» Pinot Grigio in the world. Great price, great smooth taste perfect for the summer. Awesome product from the Central Valley. The franzia family knows wines

Bronco bottles a number of wines under different labels, the most commonly known as Charles Shaw or «Two Buck Chuck» which can be found at every Trader Joe’s. I’ve tried every one of the Charles Shaw wines. For the price, they aren’t bad, but are nothing exceptional. That is, except for the Shiraz. For $ 23, you can get a full case of a wine that is tart without being overly sweet. Whether sipped on by itself, or paired with a meal, honestly, there’s no better value in wine than C.S.‘s Shiraz. Next time you are at Trader Joe’s, get yourself a bottle of Shiraz. If you’re a fan of red wines at all, at the bargain end of the spectrum, you can’t beat this pick. I have four cases in the garage for«emergencies». Hey, you never know when there could be a grape freeze!

Beware of Bronco brand name Charles Shaw(2-buck chuck). I’ve found one reason their wines are so cheap. For the second time in the past 3 months, today I used a rocker wine opener on a Charles Shaw bottle and the bottle neck shattered. Oh, the glass particles around your kitchen… yeah, don’t go barefooted. My recommendation: use a corkscrew on all Charles Shaw wines.

Makers of Two-Buck Chuck(d.b.a. Charles Shaw), I’m not sure how to feel about you. On one hand, you have brought wine to the masses at $ 2 a pop. What once was a highbrow drink is now an every man’s beverage. Put down that Coors light, sir. Tonight, you’ll be relaxing with a glass of California’s finest red(will it be Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz? OH, THECULTURE). Yes, tables all across America have been, for better or for worse, graced with a bottle of this alcoholic concoction. On the other hand, while I concede that the Shiraz is not half bad, your unethical labor practices are flat out despicable. The problem with overblown commercial wineries such as yourself and Gallo(another purveyor of cheap wine/gargling water) is that labor practices somehow fall off the radar. To know that someone might have died picking that Syrah grape in my wine in no way justifies the $ 2 price tag. I’ll stick to buying my $ 6 varietals as the resident house wine and rest easy at night.
