Where to start? I ordered to go and it was my first time here. I told the waitress it was my first time hoping for some recommendations but all I got was, «really why is it your first time?» Like I was supposed to have been eating there all the time or something. Anyway, staff seem to care more about gossiping, their clothing and flirting than they do the customers. Many customers that came to pay at the register had to wait for someone to actually go to the register to be able to pay their check. And since I was sitting waiting for my to go order, I got to watch two waitresses in the back look at the customers waiting at the register, continue to ignore them, until one girl rolled her eyes and finally went to the register to clear their check… I also got to watch the «regulars» or «friends of staff» come in and get good treatment, while they were rude, slow, and unwelcoming to other customers that came in. As far as the food… I ordered a club sandwich and a cup of vegetable beef soup… The sandwich was ok… But the soup… Was so sour, curdled, and oily I almost threw up from the first bite. I also spent the rest of the day sick to my stomach. So I hate leaving bad reviews but I don’t think this restaurant should continue to be in business from all I witnessed of the way they treat customers… Spend your hard earned money at other establishments that deserve it and treat you well.

This place was not very clean looking. We sat and waited a while for our order to be taken. Then as we were waiting for our food felt like 20 minutes the waitress came by and said sorry our cook got SICK! Gross you don’t tell your customers that!!! You tell them you are short a cook today!!! My stomach turned after hearing that. Finally our food came after being there for an hour. It was terrible! Everything tasted like it was cooked on a dirty grill! This is the worst dining experience I have ever had!

Love this place! Hermina is one of the best, she is always so attentive. She makes us feel like family, and the food is always tasty. We are regulars here and come every Sunday and sometimes during the weekday. She knows exactly what we order. Thank you Hermina for treating my husband and I like family. Hermina definitely delivered a 5 star service

Food was great. Service was quick and professional. I ordered the country fried steak and it was a large portion. Best breakfast in town.

Food just «ok»… large portions, but it does not make up for the attitude this one waitress there has! Have had her 4 or 5 times, but she wears no name tag, to say which one she is so you can avoid her. She’s just so darn unfriendly, and I don’t think I’ll be back. Oh, to be fair, she was pleasant as we got up to leave…

The worst place ever! Sat and waited to order for 15min! The guy behind me flagged down a waitress asking for his gravy his actual waitress finally came over he had to ask again! Clear sign the service is lousy my cue to leave so I did

I’m sorry, but this is not food. It’s nasty as heck and not even served warm. The waitress I had was stuck up, and clearly didn’t care about good service. Which is fine. No tip for her and will not be returning!!!

I’ve been here twice-​the food tasted old and like something I could have taken out of my freezer at home. I had already made up my mind never to go back and then they got some horrible publicity for removing all their daily specials to stick it to veterans on veterans day. I mentioned the story to my friend who’s husband is on active duty and apparently the owner had actually asked her and her husband to leave the restaurant when he came in in his uniform after a funeral about a month before he deployed.
While the owners personal views should not affect if you do business with them-​the fact that she refuses service to people based upon career choice is something to keep in mind.
Trust me it’s not big loss, the food was not great. The waitress we had was really nice but that’s not enough to make me come back.

I guess Making profit off the men and women that have served our country is more important than saying thank you to the very people that have made it possible for you to have your business and be free to gouge them on this day of all days. Good luck on your future business profits once the word spreads.

I’ve been here multiple times with the same result everytime. The food is cold, coffee is tasteless, the servers have no personality, horrible all around. This is my final time trying this place.

Idk about everyone else but my experiences here have always been nice. Try it out for yourself, you won’t be losing out on a lot of money if u don’t end up liking it.

Great waffles, can’t say much about the rest. Had a salad there once and it was ill prepared with a lot of wilted lettuce. Service good, waffles great, anything else… Not that great

This place is so nasty I can’t even leave 1 star. The arrived is worse than the food. Never received my water after asking 4 times. Had to get up and go to the counter to ask for more coffee. Sent back chicken fried steak. Burned and cooked in old grease. The place

I’ll make this short. My family used to eat here when it was Perkos and it was fine. The food isn’t terrible but the entire place is grotesquely filthy. Tables and the kitchen area I could see. All disgustingly filthy. The waitresses aprons are filthy and they are rude. I would suggest you take the short drive down whitmore to Hughson and go to bobs coffee shop for some fantastic food any time of day. And it’s super clean. This place needs reported to the health department. I know that this is just a superficial complaint but they have not changed a single decoration in that restaurant in 20 years. And it has just gone downhill.

Food was good as expected, but the lack of service was the issue, got seated after a few mins just had missed the morning breakfast rush… but it doesn’t hurt to hire a few more helping hands, their was only one waitress running orders out to the tables and the front desk worker was going back and forth serving people coffee and taking care of guest at the front… coffee road location doesn’t have this issue.

Went to breakfast with my niece because she had an entertainment mobile coupon app with ceres waffle shop 7 $ off no drinks necessary as we paid cashier refused coupon as it can’t be stapled to receipt, so I left my niece there drove home to get my coupon book and handed coupon to cashier and she stated no you didn’t order two drinks even tho other coupon was not required, I asked to speak to manager she said she is and owner checks over every receipt n they would get in trouble she did not seem to care or offer any options after all our effort have coupons for other local breakfast spots in town and we’re easily accepted very disappointed, will not return would encourage others to avoid

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The food was terrible! I ordered eggs benidict and my wife ordered eggs over medium and bacon. We even told the waitress to make sure that the egg white is completely cooked. When our food came my eggs benidict was swimming in hollandaise sauce. Literally half the plate was covered with that sauce causing the English muffin to be soggy; not to mention they put garlic butter on it. Who uses garlic butter for eggs benidict? Then to top it off my wife’s egg white was runny after we specifically ordered it fully cooked. The waitress never came by to ask how we were just dropped off the tab. Even the cashier didn’t have the sense to ask us how our meal was. I am guessing that they avoid that question because they already know the answer; which would be terrible. One more note there is nothing like watching the cook scratch her head under her hat while she cooks and touches people’s food. THEY HAVE LOST OUR BUSINESS!

I can not even rate the food. We never got seated. In fact we never got acknowledged at all. We were sitting there for 10 minutes waiting to be seated or even to be told how long the wait was. Many people walked by and saw us, but not one of them greeted us or let us know where to sit or how long the wait would be. We decided to leave. I do not think they even noticed. On the way to another restaurant, my husband thought he would call to let them know why we left. They never even answered the phone. He let it ring multiple times before giving up.

The crowd of vehicles was a tip-​off that this is the place to go for breakfast.

The service was understandably slow because there were so many people here and it was seemingly at the peak of the breakfast rush-​hour, so we weren’t concerned that it took a little longer to get our meals. When they got to us, the orders were correct and cooked to perfection,
I was half-​expecting institutional food taste but was surprised by the flavor.
Nothing dull about the food here. The omelet I had was excellent while my culinary companion du jour had waffles and eggs. The portions were large and our coffee cups were rarely empty.
Service, again, was a little slow with the peak demand but understandably so. You can’t get more staff in to handle the rush, so they did the best they could under the conditions.
Prices are a tad high, but you certainly get what you pay for here.
Great place to have breakfast.
