This review is for the cake I purchased along with a smoothie. Stopped in to get a mango crème brûlée cake for a friend. Delicious!!! Not too sweet, very soft sponge cake, flavorful mango crème feeling, good chocolate, and fresh mango & strawberries on top. Everyone who grabbed a slice was pleased. Great selection by myself I must add… well a couple of other opinions were involved but I chose the place LOL. So kudos! I also tried a honey dew smoothie that pretty good as well. Nice honey dew melon flavor. After seeing this bakery so many times when going to Gen’s Korean BBQ next door, I finally got the chance to make a purchase and try one of their cakes. Going off of this one alone, I’ll be making future purchases. There was also a coffee crème brûlée I was eyeing while waiting for the cake so I’m most definitely heading back for that. Dinner 2÷5÷2016

Conveniently located right across from Cerritos Mall. They offer so many unusual varieties of breads and pastries that you wouldn’t find at any ordinary bakery. Lots of seating inside to enjoy your goodies. With so many food offerings in this area, parking can be a hassle. I got a strawberry banana smoothie which was delicious and only $ 4.00. I also got a slice of red velvet cake which was okay. Ive had better cakes before. Be sure to check them out.

Fresh bread. Good variety. Good dessert cakes. Unique choices Pretty typical drink menu with a few signature drinks. But it takes forever You have to catch the place not during the weekend. The weekends are extremely busy but the bread change over keeps up. In the end the prices are decent but the cute cashier: Justin gives it 5.

Same variety they have at any other location except this location actually has places to sit if you can snag a table /seat before someone else does but the staff here is very friendly and nice(((:

I LOVETHISBAKERY. ITOFFERSSOMUCH. MYFAV is the CHOCOLATEBREAD its soo fluffy and ofc lots of yeast, but I literally went back on my last of LA to 85 degree but they ran out of the chocolate bread so i got the plain :(made it very sad. I like how they have the sea-salt drinks, puts in a lot of flavor. Their calamari thing was interesting. Definitely get the choco filling bun! The inside is quite big, so good for groups. I got the sea-salt green tea drink, its great! Ambiance is super relaxed, like you go for some quick snack.

I came here with my mom on 1÷18÷16, the day of her birthday for a birthday cake because we had heard good things and I myself saw decent reviews on Unilocal.Sadly I was extremely disappointed with my purchase of the strawberry chocolate cake. Firstly, I don’t know why this Unilocal profile only has 1 dollar sign in the price. The little cake I got cost me $ 30. Keep in mind this was a small round cake about 7 – 8 inches in diameter. But I figured«hey its a very nice looking cake and the reviews are good so it must be good!» WRONG!!! Anyways, I go back home pretty happy with my nice cake and we have a few people over for dinner and cake afterwards. My mom cuts into her cake and realizes that its mostly icing and hardly any bread. At this point i’m pretty disappointed but I decide to taste it and the little bread it has is dry also. Now i’m pretty angry that my moms cake is a pathetic slice of bread with a 2 inch thick layer of icing all around. The other people who tried the cake kinda just smiled and agreed that it was awful. To make a long story short I should’ve just purchased a cake at Porto’s Bakery in Downey where the quality is tried and true. But hey, I guess Unilocal isn’t always right. My advice to anyone who has kept reading: DON’T BUY A CAKEHERE!!! It will ruin your birthday or whatever occasion you’re celebrating. The only reason I don’t go back and demand a refund is because I’m a busy guy with work and school but I hope the owners or whoever is relevant read this review and make things right.

This place is a sweet tooth’s worst nightmare! So much selections and big big portions they have a lot of different kinds of cakes muffins to drinks like boba and others. Its pretty big set up and lines can get long. I can see why. The variety of breads can just make u dizzy with all sorts of kinds. Breads are baked right and big portions

Why did I have to walk by when they were doing their grand opening and offering a free drink!!! I was hooked. For like probably. Been coming to this location only since it opened about 1 year ago, I received a vouvher for a free drink and I believe they only had 2 options. I choose the seal salt green jasmine tea and I never want to drink another sea salt green jasmine tea from anywhere else because this one will be forever in my heart! I lovvveeeeddd it! After that, I said, what the heck try the ‘FRESHBREAD!!’ and I discovered the blueberry cream cheese filed warm fluffy muffin called Berrytale… ahhhhh!!! Heaven on a piece of fluffy warm dough! For real. EAT it. and thank me later! Affordable, Delicious and just plain Amaze!

I love 85 degrees. I love that they offer so many unusual varieties of breads and pastries that you wouldn’t find at any ordinary bakery. They have beautiful cakes, delicious coffee(try the iced sea salt), and a vast carb loaded offering of sweet and savory breads. The breads are self serve, panadería style where you grab a tray and tongs and fill with your heart’s content. You will never leave with just one or two… just say’n. I love the Taro bread. It is a dark and light purple marbled bread with poi stuffed in the middle. Even if you don’t like poi, just try it. The subtle sweetness will win you over. They have great savory options that involve cheese, garlic, and meat toppings like bacon and ham. Now, I have one qualm that I must voice. My visits are going to have to be less frequent because to my dismay, the Rose Cheese bread was discontinued. Whhhhhyyyyy??? It was so delicious with the cranberries, seeds, and cream cheese filling. It was like eating the best bagel that ever existed but in a bun form and so soft and so warm. My heartbreaks 85 degrees. Other than that I do enjoy what you have and will have to live without my favorite carb loaded delight.

Love their fresh bread, each time be decided to stop by we go a little crazy. My favorites include the egg tarts, chocolate bread and their cheese breads. I don’t remember the rest since we always get something new when we stop by. They also have coffee and other drinks such as milk teas and smoothies. They have specialty cakes. I have not tried their cakes just their fresh breads.

Whenever I go to Asia I love the fresh bakery stores, for some reasons it’s taken a long time for them to make their way to the United States, unfortunate you need to go to more of an Asian area of the city to get the yummy bakery goods. I loved their hot dog bun, I could have eaten a dozen of them. I found the tuna bun, just okay, the tuna was sweet. I also had the ham and cheese bun, that was great but a little greasy. Their chocolate chip cookies are not worth the $ 1.00, Subway has better cookies. Lastly, I thought their Chocolate Chip bowl was a little too much bread but very good. The lines get a little long, it’s difficult to stand in line holding your food and trying not to eat it all before you get to the cashier. It would be nice if they had a few more cashiers to expedite the line.

This is the friendliest location of all the 85C bakeries I’ve been to. They don’t give you the stink eye if you linger over the goods to choose and they actually smile when they take your order. That alone stands out because it’s an ASIAN bakery for goodness sake. They’re not robotic and want to rush you through, but actually will give good recommendations based on your questions, not by rote or pushing a particular product. Will come here again, definitely.

This location, like every other 85 degrees location that I have been to, is really great. Yes, it can get get kind of busy and crowded around the breads and pastries, but it never really takes long to check out; the line always moves very quickly because the cashiers are always super quick at bagging. I came here on a Friday afternoon, and yes the shopping center was super busy, but my fiancé and I managed to find parking, which was slightly surprising. We ended up buying two garlic cheese breads, eight calamari stick breads(which I am obsessed with… still), and a sea salt iced coffee. The garlic cheese breads were amazing, but the calamari stick breads are my favorite. The calamari stick bread is a squid ink bread with mozzarella cheese on the inside, and garlic spread on top. For the coffee, I always get the sea salt iced coffee because it’s not too sweet and it has a nice salty element to the drink. They now also have a version with caramel for those of you who like sweeter coffee drinks. I will probably try this next time I go. As the cashier packed up our breads, I ended up looking at the cakes. At only $ 3-$ 3.50 a slice, they are pretty cheap, so I ended up also buying a slice of red velvet and a slice of their sea salt coffee cake! The red velvet had a great balance of sweet and tangy flavor, and I also really loved the sea salt coffee cake I hope it sticks around for a while, because I’d buy it again.

This place is like Asian Porto’s bakery, without the long lines. The pastries are a little bit more expensive than Porto’s but that’s because some of them are larger. You get to pick your pastries by yourself using tongs which is cool but may be unsanitary if people don’t follow the rules. They come out with fresh bread and let the whole store know that they’ve got fresh bread which is exciting when you have your eyes on a pastry and they swing out from behind the door balancing that pastry on a platter. My favorite is the taro bread and brioche but it wasn’t as good as I’d expected. It’s all a matter of preference of taste. I actually ended up here because my friend dragged me along and I wouldn’t see myself coming here again unless I got dragged along again because I don’t love Asian pastries like I love other desserts. Asian pastries just seem to be on the lighter and not so decadent side so it’s easier to eat more.

Their sea salt iced coffee is so good! While that is my favorite part of the store, they also have a large variety of reasonably priced bread and pastries, my favorite being the garlic toast and berrytale. They shout«Fresh Bread» or «Fresh Pastries» whenever they bring new stuff out, which is pretty frequent. When I was there about a week ago they had a few specials up — if you come in the morning the drinks are buy one get one 50% and in the afternoon you get 20% if you buy a drink and a slice of cake.

This location is so open and airy… I love it! Lots of tables to sit and enjoy your baked good! The bakery runners keep the area stocked and there is lots«FRESHBREAD» constantly coming out. With so many food offerings in this area, Parking can be a hassle.

Nothing wrong with this place except the price of items being slightly higher than surrounding bakeries. The milk tea– on the milky side. Things to try: — coffee bread– really has coffee paper. Crispy top, — brioche– this thing is delicious. Soft, pillowy, & slightly sweetened. When they are about to close, nearly all the breads are gone. Unsure of whether this is b/c people have bought them all, or if they’ve put them away. Guessing from the random breads that were left and placed together in the same bins, people most likely bought them. They allow you to hang about in the store until about 10.15 or so(they close at 10pm). Then– out you go! But nicely.

Having frequented the Irvine, Rowland Heights, and Buena Park 85 Degrees, I was expecting long lines in a small tight space when I came to this 85 Degrees but instead I was pleasantly surprised to find it very spacious without much people. I came in once during lunch hours and my second time during breakfast hours and both times it was quite empty with plenty of seating. Or maybe it appears emptier than the other locations because of the larger space? Whatever the reason I liked having the space to browse and pick my bread selection. My favorite 85 degrees bread will forever be the brioche. It is buttery, slightly sweet, soft, and chewy. It is a must try! Sometimes they don’t have it out on display, in which case you just have to ask the cashiers because they keep it behind the counter. The service is great here too. Quick, friendly, and efficient. I just ordered a cake this morning before heading to work and the cashier asked if I wanted a happy birthday message and any candles. Cashiers don’t always ask this so I thought it was great that he did. And the cake with the happy birthday chocolate message with candles was ready for me in less than a minute.

Overview: This 85C Bakery Café is a mid-range Taiwanese bakery and boba-shop located in a very-Asian plaza in Cerritos that makes both sweet and savory concoctions that are sold by the piece. The Food: From unique items like the«calamari stick» to classic Asian favorite sponge-roll cakes, to egg tarts, the selection here is very comprehensive and spans a wide range of European and Asian style goods. Whether your taste buds crave a savory protein wrapped in brioche or a simple macaroon, or a soft pillowy sponge cake roll, 85C will quench your cravings. Even at 9PM, there were at least a two-three dozen different baked goods to choose from! Pricing is moderately expensive with small goods being ~$ 2 and larger items being closer to $ 5. The last meal I had here was the calamari stick which looked exotic but really tasted like a normal bun with Swiss cheese inside. My primary gripe comes from the slushees. For $ 4(and $ 0.50 extra for boba balls) for what I think is a ~18oz drink, I was expecting a drink comparable to a place like Jamba Juice but my mango slushee had bitter notes and did not taste like blended ripe frozen mango. The boba balls were wonderfully soft and did not disappoint. 85C is also known for its salted coffee which is exactly what it sounds like. I’m not a fan personally but the majority of my Asian friends swear by it so I won’t bash it in this review. The Service: Self-service with very quick cashiers. No complaints here. The Establishment: With a strangely high amount of open space, 85C Bakery actually has less seating than expected for a bakery of its size. I would advise coming here on off-peak times if you want a seat(non-lunch, non-post-dinner times). There’s lots of natural light, the floors are clean, and but parking can be tough as the plaza has many other popular restaurants. Conclusions: 85C Bakery and Café is a very popular Taiwanese bakery chain that serves a vast assortment of European and Asian themed baked goods, boba, slushees, and coffee. This particular 85C is in a large lot with a surprising amount of open space, but beware the crowded nature of this location. While it is a good bakery, Asian bakeries are held to a fairly high standard when it comes to taste and I would call 85C «average» when compared to most bakeries located throughout San Gabriel, and Rowland Heights. Don’t get the mango slushee.

This is honestly the best location that I have been to. The store itself is very big and spacious with ample seating and a good amount of bakery cases. It seems like this location has certain«breads» that other locations don’t and service is always quick. Never had to wait in an excessively long line, or been in a line that didn’t move quickly. «Fresh bread» is always coming out. Whereas other locations always seems to make me wait way too long for a drink or cake slice, the cerritos location is pretty darn quick. I’ve never had to wait more than a minute or 2 before my drink and/or cake slice were up on the counter.
