Elie’s Unocal Service Complete Auto Repair and Towing

I came here one day because I noticed my car tire was low so I asked to use the air and the guy told me it’s for paying customers only. I was kinda shocked the guy told me this. I think this is bad customer service and have never been turned down whenever I have need air for a tire.

Awesome people that work here! I’ve been coming here for a year already for gas and to get my car fixed. I don’t know about the person below me talking about credit card fraud… definitely not true. Nothing has happened to my credit card, so she is probably crazy lol :)

DONT GO HERE. I got charged $ 600 on my credit card after using it here, not at the gas pump, but inside. I work around here and a friend has also had her credit card hacked after using it at this gas station at least 3 times. At first we didn’t think it was from using it there, but once my card got hacked it was obvious. I never pump gas here, and the one time I do, this happens.
DONT GO HERE THEY ARE COMMITTING CREDIT CARD FRAUD.

I actually disagree with all of the other reviews posted. The owner is there everyday but not the man the other reviewers are referring to. Every time I come to this station, I see the employees are laughing and enjoying what they do. Including the owner. The prices are very reasonable. And the service is exceptional. I highly recommend this location.

Still the best place in town for any auto service needs. They treat me like family here and thats why I am still a loyal customer.

I went to get my car smog it was done in 15 minutes the owner was very nice and he gave me a $ 10.00 discount so if your car needs smog check just go there and try specialy now he has low gas prices

this is bad place for smog check… they are scared me and also i pay $ 53dollar and they add dmv whatever… totally $ 72… also $ 0.50 for bank fee… im sure gas check like pay $ 30−40dollar anywhere… im not gonna be there no more and they said to me when it was over smog check…

I can say that the owner (Older Man) is definitely worthy of the title as RUDE!
Wanted some air. Most gas station will turn on the air as a courtesy, but this greedy MAN wants .75 cents and yells out. It’s not free. If you put gas I will turn the air on.
Never heard of air costing anything. :)
If he treated people fairly, he might get more business. I mean what happened to the days when gas stations were helping people get out of trouble and offered friendly service?

So i came to get a oil change the other day and i can honestly say that the people there are so kind and not uptight like other people are! Also, they act like themselves which is a food thing because it comes to show that they arn’t fake! So yeah! Im going to be coming here all the time. Thanks Elie and george.

Went in there to buy an Arizona ice tea. It clearly says its $ 0.99 on the can. He wanted to charge me $ 1.50 + tax

Just like you, I have a spare tire in my car. I only use it when there’s an absolute need. So I consider this 76 Unocal and Service Station my spare gas station. Meaning, I’m only here when I’ve exhausted all options.
Gas is about 10 to 15 cents higher at this location, so unless I’m about ready to push my car, I wouldn’t bother running my credit card on inflated prices. The only reason I came here is for their Smog Check, which ran me about $ 70, way more than the usual, but includes the Certificate Fee and Electronic Transfer Fee going to the DMV. Angela T. you’re right, never again.
The reason I hate coming here is because of the owner who looks like he’s about to put a bullet into your head. I’ve seen him give less than adequate customer service on several occasions. If anyone ever treated me like that, we’d have a major «Dilemma» — Nelly on our hands. If you appreciate someone’s business, then you’ll show and thank them for it.
On today’s visit, I just pretend like I can’t speak English and point to the Smog Check sign outside. We literally have less than 5 words between the both of us, I pay, and leave the station quietly in 15 minutes. If this place wasn’t do damn close to my residence, I’d have gone almost anywhere. But, I save a lot of time coming here and there’s absolutely no wait. I wonder why?
There’s a small convenience store inside with chips, candy, and soda. I’m surprised that as consumers, we even got that. Unless, you’re looking for trouble, go somewhere else where you can feel good about yourself. When Chris tells you it’s bad, it’s probably worse for you. Have a better day!

Stopped by this hidious gas station to get a small bottle of water and ended up paying $ 1.50 for a small (500ml) aquafina water! If you haven’t been recently ripped off and passionately asking for it, this is the right spot!

Like others are saying the owner is rude and the gas prices are higher here. Just take a minute to drive to Carmenita and South Street to save $$$ on gas and receive better service.

Old man (owner?) is really rude. There were 3 separate occasions where I saw him yelling at customers. One of the times was because the pump wouldn’t accept credit cards, and he was yelling at the customer telling her that it was her fault.
The old man also yelled at me one night. It was really late at night, pouring rain. I was getting gas, my cellphone ran and it was friend going through a divorce. So I was talking with my friend on the phone. He comes out yelling at me to move my car. I tell him I’m getting gas and he eventually sees the pump still chugging along pumping gas.
If you are not running on fumes, then just get gas at Carmenita and South which is almost $ 0.10 cheaper.

This gas station is not safe for lowered cars… there are tons of inappropriately raised manhole covers kickin’ my car’s ass!

This 76 Unocal gas station on Carmenita and Artesia is always around 10 cents more expensive than other gas stations around the area.
Unless you need gas *right* now, I would drive down to the Chevron on South Street and Carmenita, or the Chevron on Bloomfield and Artesia.
Sorry, why pay more for the same stuff in this economy?
