The mushroom tofu soup is amazing! There are a lot of Korean places in the area but this place is legit. Be ready to wait if you go around dinner time but its totally worth it!

It is one of the best tofu shop in Artesia/Cerritos area but I feel their food and service is going downhill lately. They give you extra 9% off if you pay cash.

I went here today for the first time. The portions are plentiful and quite delicious. I had the Seafood Soup and Bulgogi combo. For 16 $, you get a piping hot bowl of soup, a plate of sizzling bulgogi, and a plethora of sides. The rice was quite burned to the bottom of its cooking vessel, which is nice sometimes, but a little too burned this time for my taste. The atmosphere was quiet, but it was a Monday afternoon, so I suppose it wouldn’t be too busy. Had plenty of leftovers.

If i want tofu, this is my first choice. Although they have a small menu(all of which is printed on their place-mats), they still have a wide enough variety to meet anyone’s needs. The kimichi is plentiful and the servers will refill it without giving you a sour look. I love hot hot spicy food, but I still need to order my tofu medium spicy because it is soooo spicy. The corn water is refreshing too! I love drinking it straight or mixing it with my rice. *its helped sooth my burning tongue! LOL!* Even with another tofu place right next door, this place always has people waiting. But they serve the people so quickly, that the wait is minimal. There has been times, when the servers will even take the orders of ppl waiting before they even sit down so they can turn the tables over quicker. I love the bbq ribs and steak there. Sooo good. It sizzles and the smell just makes my mouth water. And who doesn’t like ice cream! They have a soft ice cream machine by their door, so it’ll tide ppl over while they’re waiting to those topping it off as a dessert. Like their menu, a small choice of flavors… vanilla, chocolate and combo. It’s funny too to watch grown adults make their own cones and if they don’t do it properly… the ice cream topples onto the floor. It happens often enough that the servers clean it up pretty quickly! Pros: Tofu of course! Very reasonable pricing, soft ice cream, speedy service, awesome kimchi(portion and variety) Cons: the tables are a little short and bulky that I’ve knocked my knees a couple of times, earning me bruises!

their tofu soup is good, but sometimes they make it way too spicy(even when u ask for medium). I love the sides of kimchee, fish, and seaweed, but don’t dare ask for extra… they will throw you an attitude. service is horrible and that’s why I give them 2 stars.

Great tofu place! I went with a small group for lunch and it was very affordable(about $ 10 each) and we had plenty of food! Everything was fresh and delicious and the ice cream machine is a wonderful treat at the end of the meal ^_^ We went pretty early so there was no wait but it got busy quick so I would suggest you go early to beat the crowd.

I thought this place was good and I have absolutely no complaints. The wait was about 15 minutes on a sunday evening and $ 30 for three people and more than enough food to go around. They were also prompt in giving drink refills and extra ban chan. I tried not to take much notice of their sad health code rating because the bugolgi was pretty decent and the tofu soup was tasty. bonus points for their soft serve machine.

I actually think this place is decent. Service is good, and overall atmosphere isn’t too bad. I ordered the mushroom soondubu extra hot — it was decent, but nothing to write home about. The side dishes were limited, although the waitress did ask me if I wanted a refill on the kimchi. By the way, the kimchi was actually pretty good(very fresh). The soondubu was full of tofu and mushrooms, but like the other reviewers have said, the overall taste is somewhat bland. Extra Hot was tolerable — nothing like Koba Tofu in Irvine(extra hot means death). Bottom line — a decent place for soondubu, but nothing exceptional. Their ice cream machine produces a sugary sorbet that was actually pretty nasty. I expected a creamy ice cream or yogurt.

used to love this place. when it first opened, next to every table was a little buzzer that lets the staff know you need something… then the free soft serve was great too… and all of the sudden it was BUSY! hard to get a seat during dinner. i had to give a one star because: 1.) i have family that lives nearby, and when i pass by, on more occasion that not, i would notice that they would be prepping food, sitting on big buckets outside! OUTSIDE! 10 feet from the dumpster! 2.) i always always say not spicy, but they continue to give me spice. and i swear to you, after eating this soup, i had lost my voice for a 4 days from what my doctor calls, trauma to the throat 3.) they took out the buzzer, charge you soo much for a small amount korean BBQ ribs, or should i say, korean BBQ onions and take your pitcher of tea away because they dont see you using it and give it to new customers because they dont have enough pitchers. in any case… it started off as 4 stars then due to the reasons above, only receives 1…

This place used to be great… a three star place where you could get reliable good food. Something has changed. its not great and alittle bland. Everything looks, and feels the same… dishes are brought out in the same order… but nothing tastes the same. I know why it was packed before, but i dont understand why its still packed now. Maybe they just lack consistancy in their cooking.

I would give them 4 stars but I had to take away one. If you ever go during dinner time, you will understand why. OMG, it gets so busy and you end up waiting half an hour to sit. When they are busy, the service sucks, they bring out your tofu but you have to wait another 10 minutes for rice and then you never see them until it’s time for your check. I really have to say that the service during dinner rush is horrid but if you go when it’s slow, they’e really good. The ban chan is good, this is the only place I will eat the bean sprouts because they haven’t gone sour. All other tofu restaurants seem to have a problem with the sprouts going bad, you can tell by the smell of them. They have a softserve machine and they don’t care how many you have or don’t have. They have a little coffee/hot chocolate machine, it’s free! I just read that they rid of the extra machines?! OMG I’ll have to take away another star. 2 stars it is. **EDIT** I just went on 8÷11÷07 and they had the soft serve machines, not much has changed. It still says Cho Dang and so does all of their chopsitcks. I’ll have say, the soup based has changed and it tastes like ramen. But I will have to bump it up to 3 stars because it doesn’t have that fishy, odd undercooked smell. The banchan was about the same. **EDIT** Went again on 9÷29÷07 they got a big fat«C» I was hesitant to eat there but my friend convinced me, «You know, they’ve probably been a „C“ restaurant this whole time.» Ok, he had me there. So I tried it again, not very good. The potato banchan was on the verge of being spoiled. The oi kimchee was not good and it was warm. I got my usual oyster soon dooboo and then I had a tummy ache. Might have been the warm oyster in the kimchee or maybe the warm ojing-o. Whatever it was, I’m not going back. Everything about this place was horrible. Also, for having received a «C» and having cold banchan being served warm, they raised the prices to $ 9 for a bowl of soon doo boo?! They must be out of their minds. I should have realized there was something wrong when I saw the parking lot empty at 7:30pm on a Friday night.

This is my favorite Soon Tofu place. Mostly because of the little dishes they serve in the middle, and the soft serve ice cream machine. But since I am reading that the ice cream machine is no longer there, I have to rate it a 4 instead of a 5.

good soon tofu and lots of sides. Best in the area. It kind of reminds me of BCD but I think this place is better.
