We stopped here on a cold rainy Sunday at the end of June. We had planned to go to the Firemen’s Carnival but the rain wouldn’t let up. Missing out on carnival food and being hungry, we drove past the Milestone and decided to stop. My husband had been here on snowmobile ages ago but I had never been. The parking lot is big, with plenty of room. There was a nice deck on the side which would be great to sit and have a drink on a non-rainy day. When you go in, there’s a good size bar area with seating on the left, and the dining room is straight ahead. We checked the specials board and then sat down. The bar had a decent sized crowd, and the dining room was also busy, with several larger groups. We waited a bit, then the bartender came over(a pretty, young blonde — I don’t remember her name) and thanked us for being patient. She was the only one working(besides the cook) and had the bar and dining areas to take care of. We were not in a hurry so we didn’t care. We ordered our drinks and looked at the menu. It was a great menu, with lots of choices including typical WNY items — chicken wings, fingers, beef on weck and Friday fish fries. We had plenty of time to decide which was good. My husband ordered the French dip and I got the small rack of ribs. We waited quite a while for our food but we didn’t mind. The food coming out off the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful. We were worried at first that, being so busy, the cook would just rush things out but no. Our dinners when they came, were perfect. We each had a small side salad, with the best blue cheese dressing we’ve ever had. The beef on the French dip was so tender, and just a touch pink. It’s easy to over heat beef, and then it’s just a tough mess but this was really good. The roll was very fresh and the sandwich overall was big. My husband couldn’t finish it. It came with hand cut fries which were perfect also, crispy on the outside but tender inside. My ribs came with fries also, so we didn’t have to fight over them. Mine also had a nice side of veggies. My ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the sauce tasted like Sweet Baby Ray’s, which is the best imo. I was worried they’d be dried out but they were falling off the bone tender. The half order was a generous size, and I brought some home. Because it was so busy, and only one girl working the bar/dining area, we were there about 2 hours. The server was very attentive, the cook did a wonderful job on our meals, and overall it was really great. We will definitely be back

$ 2.50 Labatt blue drafts and decent food values. It has closed\changed owners so many times in recent years that it was nearly empty on a recent Saturday night and populated mostly by bikers. Flat screen TVs for sports events. Needs some food\drink specials or entertainment to get more than 3 stars.
