The BEST dog raincoats! It’s always amazed me that I couldn’t find a good raincoat for the dog — one that’s easy to put on, really keeps them dry & warm and is well made. Schneider has nailed it with the Dura-tech Insulated Rain Coat! It’s easy to put on and doesn’t bother even squirmy dogs and only has one fastener that holds it well and comfortably in place. These things are so well made that, sad as it is to think about, I can imagine that they will easily last well beyond the lifetime of any one dog. And they’re priced at or below the cost of crummy ones I’ve tried before. Really impressive. My sister, who knows of Schneider from her horses, got two of these and between me and my siblings we now have 5 — for all of our small dogs.

My fiancé has been asking for a pair of cowboy boots for the longest time. Honestly, I couldn’t bring myself to buy them for her since a) she doesn’t ride horses and b) she isn’t a cow girl. Since Christmas is around the corner, I decided to skip my annual go-to Uggs purchase this year and instead decided to buy her a nice pair of winter boots that have the«country flair» I assume she is looking for. I found a nice looking pair of country boots by Ovation on Schneider’s website. Being the awesome fiancé that I am, I know her tastes and I know she’ll LOVE them. Wasn’t super stoked that I needed to call to ensure availability in her size — I don’t even like calling in take-out orders — but the price was right and shipping was free, so I went with it. The boots showed up the other day, and they look super warm and comfy. Can’t wait to give them to her!

AWFUL customer service and poorly made blankets. I have bought tons of stuff from Schneider’s throughout the years. Bought blankets that have clearly come apart at the seam from being poorly made, yet they still find any excuse not to replace the blanket and put all blame on the horse, even when its clear the horse could not have caused the problem. Buyer beware, do not buy blankets from them not only because of the poor quality but if you have a problem, they try to get out of replacing them any way they can. Will NEVER go back or purchase anything from them again. Terrible, absolutely terrible, I am very disappointed.

So I have been there twice in the past two weeks. The sales staff is not helpful at all. They don’t know anything about there products. And when I went to try pants on I asked if there was a mirror for a better look. The sales girl gave me a cocky response that there was one in the dressing room. Obviously I saw that one but since they are so tiny and you could barley move around in there I was hoping for a better look. All she had to say was no. There was no need to get sarcastic. I’m never going there again and I’m hoping you don’t either. It seemed like there are a lot of people that work there but they aren’t doing a lot.

Schneider’s is a great discount saddlery /tackstore in the Cleveland area. Originally, it was my favorite go-to shop at QH Congress and mail catalog, but little did I know that they had a brick and morter in the Chagrin area. Schneider’s has great tack, horse and equestrian supplies, clothing, saddles, boots, cowboy hats, etc. Both English and Westernwear. It’s a must stop for local equestrians. Big shop and lots of sales.

I ordered a blanket for my wife 11 days before Christmas. I paid the expedited shipping just to make sure it arrived on time. Never got a confirmation email, no email with tracking info, nothing. I had to call probably 10 times to speak with their crumby customer service to get this info. I had to call again two days before it was supposed to be delivered to find out they hadn’t shipped it yet. On top of that, they held the shipment hostage trying to get me to pay for two day air shipping after they forgot to ship it the week before. This is on top of the shipping and expedited shipping I already paid. At the end of the day, the blanket will not be delivered before Christmas, leaving me screwed. If I could have given less than 1 star I would have. Buyer beware!
