Too many items are not priced. I can’t go up to the cashier to get a price every time. They shouldn’t put anything out without a price.

I am completely disappointed with the Restore. I had a couch and love seat that I was going to donate that is in decent condition. No tears, no holes, quality furniture. The drivers came and decided that they would not accept it because it was too worn and that there was dog hair… It is not«worn»! I have dogs in the house, but they are not allowed on the couches. Here is where the disappointment lies… I was doing a good thing by donating. I have volunteered at the Philly Restore where I spent hours cleaning old furniture and a couch that would be classified as disgusting. Smelled like cat pee, dirty, from the 80s. That was acceptable at the Restore, but my couches are not? I would still be using them if my boyfriend did not think that it was comfortable for 2 people to sit on… Not to mention that the pick up was over 40 minutes late. I generally do not write in about things, but I was truly upset that this was such a waste of my time and the person’s time that I had waiting at my house for the pick up. The Restore standards are not aligned and that is unfortunate for the both of us. Kicker is that if you look at the couches that they do have on a picture on here, it is furniture from the 70s and 80s… Mine was only about 10 years old. There loss, but I will not be donating here again.

This is a great place to get materials for your DIY projects at cheap prices. I probably wouldn’t buy things here otherwise since the store feels kinda junky, I never see anything that says«buy me!» Overall, this store is worth a visit once in a while when I’m bored, but I never really have high expectations.

Huge thrift store, mostly catering to home improvement/building materials, and furniture. Check back often, as stock changes fairly regularly, but you can always expect to find scads of furniture, tile, paint, tools, wood flooring, and cabinetry. They also have a small bric-à-brac and housewares section. It’s a bit disorganized, but I think that’s because it’s not really the focus of the store. The book section is really nicely organized and extensive. I always stop into H4H when I am in the area. If you make a donation on the back dock, don’t forget to check the outdoor«cage”/fenced in area for outdoor furniture and assorted outdoor items. When you make a donation, you get a coupon towards your next purchase!

I really enjoy shopping here. Moving into my own apartment was crazy expensive, and this place made buying little things way cheaper. I got a decanter, some brand new stemless wine glasses, dishes, and a large glass salad bowl all for just above ten bucks. That is craziness, people! They not only have a large assortment of miscellaneous trinkets, but their furniture selection is impressive as well. The staff members were friendly and helpful. My experience here was definitely a good one, so I’ll be back! Oh…and when I had to move out of my apartment, I was able to donate a bunch of stuff I didn’t need anymore to a great cause. Good stuff!

Store is great but watch out for the ice queen that works there, she has got claws

This place started out good, but in the past few years it has really gone down hill. I’m the type of person that buys a piece of furniture just to repair and save it, then I usually give it away. But lately, the inventory here is just trash. Not worth saving. It looks like they’re suffering from poor management. As an example, my wife and I cut back from the long drive there as they no longer have a public rest room and there is not much at all in the neighborhood. So, many months later we visit the store only to see the exact same pieces of junk that we noticed before. There’s fresh inventory in the back but they won’t put it on the sales floor until they have room. Maybe it’s time to make room. But at any rate, to me, it’s not worth the drive anymore.

It depends on what you are looking for. Good for furniture, although you must check the piece for damage. Any time I have been in there, lots of ugly, damaged furniture there that should have been tossed, and you may have to return a few times to find that perfect piece, but, hey, that’s life shopping at a thrift store. Donated fixtures and supplies can be a very good buy, but once again, you gotta watch the place for that certain something. Prices are very fair on all things, IMO. The small housewares/collectibles section is a big disappointment. Too many dirty, damaged, useless, downright ugly bric-à-brac. I have, however, seen some decent sets of dishes. Still, they need to be way more picky about what they put out there AND how they display it. The stuff in that aisle is just heaped chaotically on the shelves. Check for damages before buying any of it! They need to straighten out that section. No restroom, which can be a real problem due to the location of the place. I was allowed to use the restroom in back once, but they stopped letting customers use it. Not good.

I’ve found many a treasure at ReStore. I just picked up a new light fixture donated by a high-end store(originally retailed for $ 115; ReStore price $ 15!) Great for people doing a build who don’t have specific sizes in mind — I’ve seen people wheel out huge, good quality arched top windows for very little $$. Great place to donate building materials and other items as well.

A big selection of furniture, most of it outdated or of poor quality. But I would say to check back often to find that gem you are looking for. Paint cans, sinks, tiles, carpeting– if you are doing things around your home– this is the place to go. It is not your typical thrift store! It seems as though contractors get rid of extra materials from jobs here. No clothing, some knick knacks and books.

This place is massive. As you walk in, you will find the typical thrift store brick-a-brack and furniture. Beyond that, there is a Home Depot of new, slightly damaged, and used home goods. They have tons of stuff – there’s one entire row of just sinks! If you’re looking for something specific, I’d suggest taking some measurements before you go. What’s there today may not be there tomorrow. They also accept donations.
