The care at this office is callous, impersonalized, and lazy. They should be ashamed. Our daughter has suffered through multiple sicknesses, where this practice has denied her medicine which would have helped her, and given us no useful guidance. After months of frustration, we went to an Urgent Care Clinic and were able to get on a path to better health. The mindset and approach of this practice is unethical. If you care for your children, look elsewhere.

I’ve seen several of the doctors at this location since I have 2 toddlers, and my current PCP is Sarah MacDonald. I LOVE this place because I don’t have to ask for anything! They are extreamly catering and go out of their way to help you out. I must say I was a bit put off when I first moved to PA from Missouri because before your child can be seen: they want their complete medical record, but I wouldn’t change PCP at this point for the world. Dr. MacDonald understands my concept of parenting(natural food, raw milk, etc) and has yet to tell me different. I also have a former 1 lb baby who requires a lot of medical attention and I’ve never had issues. I also saw the same doctor as the original poster the very same week for the same issue and I debated writing a comment, but didn’t feel the need. He has always over reacted to situations with my children and may me feel like he was taking care of them. Oh and thanks to him for always giving our referrals and suggestions no matter how strange my request. My two favorites are Dr. Sarah M & Dr. Stephen S

I’m bumping CHOPCARE down two stars. I took my youngest son there on Wednesday because he has been coughing for a week, runny nose for two weeks and now he’s wheezing. He’s already been seen twice before for the runny nose and the cough, once by Kesha(the nurse practitioner) and once by Dr Gershonson. Kesha told us to use a humidifier and suction his nose. Yes… That’s just common sense. Dr. Gershonson told us to use a humidifier and give him some benadryl. Ok… I’ll try that. Nothing… No result. We take him back to Dr Gershonson and he tells us to use a humidifier and gives us a prescription for albuterol to use in a nebulizer for the wheezing? Do these doctors have something against medicine!!! I mean I don’t like pumping my kids with meds but sometimes they’re needed. Two days later, I catch what my son has and it turns out to be bronchitis. I get antibiotics and cough meds right away. Not feeling comfortable about my son, I take him to my doctor. Sure enough he’s got a double ear infection and bronchitis. He immediately gets antibiotics and dosage recommendation for OTC cough meds. I feel horrible that my son has been suffering. I’ve switched my youngest to my doctor(Dr Lawrence Miller for those of you wondering). I had such high hopes for CHOP Care. Maybe they were too high when compared to our old pediatrician in Vegas. Note… I could have just edited my original review but i still think there are positive things about CHOP care. I just don’t think they met my expectations.
