I have been seeing Dr. Walker for around 6 years for«Suspect for Glaucoma» treatment. She is a very good doctor — a little fast on the check ups but still very good. I found that I needed cataract surgery about a year ago. I decided to use a Philly Top Doc instead of Dr. Walker. I wanted who I thought was the best; after all, these are my eyes. When she found out about this, she was very upset with me. I just recently saw her for an eye injury and said I guess I have to cancel my cataract surgery(on the other eye). She really let me have it, even calling me a liar at one point. I didn’t lie about anything. She said if she knew when I first came that day that I was having the cataract surgery with the other doctor, she wouldn’t have treated me and would have referred me to the cataract doctor even though I was in a lot of pain due to a corneal abrasion. She also said she no longer wanted to treat me for the Glaucoma and to have the front desk send my records to the doctor who who is doing the cataract surgery. I just called there to make sure my next appointment was cancelled and the receptionist started up with me saying I already called about this 4 times(which I didn’t). I posted this because I think this kind of behavior unacceptable from Dr. Walker(or any doctor) and any of her staff, and find it very unprofessional. I think I have the right to choose the doctor I want for any type of surgery I need to get.
