Subway is not a place that we ever eat at for the most part when we’re at home but on the road it’s the ultimate road food stop simply because while the offerings are for the most part meh, they’re everywhere with 40K locations so it’s impossible to not run across one even in the metropolis of Chalk Hill, PA. I was surprised to see three people working on an early Sunday afternoon as there was no one in the store and honestly I can’t imagine that they ever really get THAT busy but at least at would mean no waiting. The order was taken without issue although in a bit of an interesting quirk, I had to wait for a salad to get made since two of the three people working had no idea how to make one and the one person who did was outside on her phone. Eventually the salad was made without issue and things were as expected flavor wise meaning that it tasted like any other Subway. Meh, but filling. Overall this is a perfectly fine Subway where the staff is friendly enough, the location is easy on/easy off of Route 40 but of course it’s still just a Subway. P.S. I forgot about two small negatives. They do not offer Swiss cheese because in the words of one employee«Our owner is too cheap and people ask for it all the time» and no soup during the warmer months for the same aforementioned reason.
