Icky, dreary evening and had to run to Chalmette to take care of some errands. I was really craving seafood gumbo with garlic bread. I was cold, wet, and in a mood that only gumbo could fix. Husband asked around and we were sent here where he got me a huge bowl to go. He was a bit worried because y’all were closing but he shouldn’t have been. Oh my goodness! It was AMAZING!!! Like seriously the best gumbo I have had in forever. I couldn’t possibly say enough great things about it. Your gumbo rivals ANY in NOLA! Thank you!!! Bad mood cured!

If your looking for a ok restaurant this will do but, if you eat there the service is horrible and they will take your money !!! If the restaurant isn’t open and you drop in to talk or visit with someone you know and they have food outside(Stay Away)!!! It’s like going around a pack of wolves… You may get eating!!!

I went here today because I always pass by and thought it was time to try it. It doesn’t look like anything and well it’s true, but looks can be deceiving. The food was absolutely amazing. The salad was well lettuce and cheese okay yeah I guess that can be considered a salad they got the main component right which was lettuce, but maybe a little more something would jazz it up. The entrée though was so good. I got the grilled catfish arming pasta. The sauce was so good, and the catfish was cooked well with good seasoning. Food wise, though, this is a go ahead good for landing.

I’ve passed by this place many times and decided to give it a try last weekend. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, not much on the inside either. We arrived around 6:30, we were the only ones there. The first thing out were our salads, if that’s what they call em.(See my photo). Next was our entrees. Luckily the seafood platter made up for the wannabe salad and«hole in the wall» looks of the place. By the time we left, the place was nearly packed(seats around 25 – 30 people). Overall I liked the food and would go back for more.
