If you find yourself in the Twilight universe that is Chalmette don’t let the name or location of this place fool you. Beignets & More is serving up some tasty Vietnamese food. I’ve been twice usually for lunch and the fried rice is one of the best I’ve ever had. Their bánh mì are also really good I recommend the Bánh Mì Thit Nuong(pork) also know as BM1. These guys could be my next Phở Tau Bay!

This place is super good. Both my friends sandwitch and mine were awesome. The fried rice options are super delicious. Wouldn’t expect a good beignet at a Vietnamese place, but they are fantastic. Great service, nice place, and very cheap.

I recently started working in the Chalmette area and didn’t realize I’d find so many food choices over here! Beignets and More is a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant that serves authentic Vietnamese cuisine. They even offer a small menu of American dishes too. The restaurant is located in a strip on West Judge Perez Dr. During lunch time and dinner time, the restaurant is always pretty full but service is always very quick! Click here for photos: Every dish I’ve ordered here is so delicious. Not a single one has disappointed me. The Crab Rangoons are perfect! They hold well for to-go orders or even as leftovers. The phở is authentic and maybe one of my favorite places for phở in the general New Orleans area. Other great dishes would be the Lemongrass Pork Spring Rolls, Com Bo Luc Lac(Pan Seared Cubed Beef and rice), and the Bun Thit Nuong(Chargrilled Pork and Vermicelli Noodles). They serve pretty authentic beignets, but I really like the mini beignets. They’re about half the size of a regular beignet and great to eat with the Vietnamese coffee. I would seriously go out of my way to eat here. If you happen to be in the area, you have to try Beignets and More!

The mini Beignets are delish and plentiful. Good prices. The Philly cheese steak was also good, I added shrimp to mine. The décor is a little” cafeteria”, but otherwise good eats.

Astonishing to find such good food at reasonable prices in a strip mall in Chalmette. Conveniently located next to the movie theater, this place makes an excellent place to bring a date, before seeing a film.

We eat here almost once a week. Best Phở AND Beignets hands down. When we have out of town guests, we take them here over Café du Monde or Morning Call! The phở, the rice plates, the poboys, the fried rice… I have had it all and it is all great! Top off your meal or Beignets with a Vietnamese Coffee!!! You won’t be disappointed.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars BUT the Phở Combo was just«good» to me, and the spring rolls were more lettuce then noodles unfortunately! What I love that a lot of restaurants are missing these days is personality! People here actually care whether your enjoying your food, helpful and the chef even came to say hi and crack some jokes. I’ll be back! Cool people and I wish them success.

Instead of «don’t judge a book by its cover» I’m going to say«don’t judge a Vietnamese restaurant by its weird whitewashed name and strange location in a strip mall.» Count me a convert. I had the tofu banh mi, boyfriend had it with meat. The seasoned mayo was awesome, tofu was crisp, bread was spongy and perfect. My coconut smoothie was also delicious! Friendly waitress and a cook who clearly knew all the regulars. I wish I lived here so I could come again!

We ate the gyoza dumplings and pork po boy. Both were very delicious. The restaurant name was kind of confusing but the food was great. Clean restaurant and very friendly staff. Well definitely be eating here again! They also just started doing delivery!

During the film festival we tried to dine here on a Sunday, late. After reading reviews and the menu, we made sure to try again before a movie. This great spot did not disappoint. The Phở was incredible. Crispy egg rolls and ban mi were equally delicious. The Phở was one of the best I’ve had. Be sure to get a bubble tea. Great service… knowledgeable and friendly. Complete thumbs up.

Absolutely delicious. We found this place on Unilocal and the reviews did not exaggerate. The gyoza was TDF and the Vietnamese po boy was so good we may have to drive thru Chalmette the next time we got to New Orleans.

Best little gem in the city, or near enough in close-by Chalmette. The name is deceiving because they have amazing Vietnamese food. The Pork Bun is just wonderful. Loved every bite. Huge portions too! Friendly staff, owner/chef came over to make sure everything was good, great prices, excellent food, highly recommend!

Great food!!! This is one of two best Asian style restaurant in New Orleans, really Vietnamese restaurant. Those po boys are amazing. I do not eat sea food due to allergic reaction but their pork po boys are amazing. Have not had the phở(soup) yet but I will definitely try it next time.

I don’t even know where to start. This restaurant, even with it’s horrible name, is THEBEST thing about St. Bernard Parish. It should be winning awards left and right. I hope the name keeps some people away because I want it to stay hidden for as long as possible and keep it all to myself. The food? To die for EVERY time. The staff? Friendly, helpful. The décor? It’s a mini-mall dive, don’t expect décor. The food WAY more than makes up for it. My suggestions: any pork dish. The bahn mi, the fried rice, the entrees — all amazing. The spring rolls are amazing, always with fresh shrimp. The coffee is good. The watermelon smoothie is ALWAYS the first thing I order. The rangoons are GREAT, too.

The best food in St. Bernard Parish. Order anything with the word«pork» in it and you will be delighted. Phở Soup– cures any hangover. Go there today

Just stopped here after a movie today. Got crab Rangoon and chicken poppers for a snack and sister got an avocado smoothie. The crab Rangoon is to die for. There’s not many times when I can say that but this was awesome. I love the fact that it wasn’t overwhelmed with cream cheese and you can actually see and taste pieces if crab. I love it. Chicken poppers were pretty normal. Sister says smoothie was a tad bit too sweet. Staff was nice and friendly. Definitely will visit again
