Excellent! I made the mistake of calling it a hole in the wall, but it is much better than a hole in the wall. The device was excellent, the food terrific, and the prices reasonable.

In Chama for the week and this is our second visit. The best Tacos around period. Have limited hours so you need to get there before six for dinner. We have been coming to Chama for about 10 years and it is a must.

When heading through Chama, stop at this unassuming restaurant. We loved the stuffed Sapodillas. The owners are very friendly and all the food is homemade. The portions are very large but we didn’t leave anything on the plate.

Very good food! We stopped by for lunch and I had the Mexican burger smothered with red and green an my son had the kids hot dog. The hot dog was huge and delicious. Mine was amazing. Chile is very tasty. Service was good too!

A surprise Looks bad. Food was fantastic. Homemade chips and salsa. Great new Mexican everything. But I wanted the green chili burger on the next table.

Great place! Came on a recommendation and we had a wonderful lunch; the place is quiet and clean and tidy and wonderful. Chili isn’t too hot, sopas are perfectly done. We will go again.

I doubt you’d see many tourists at this place, but JV’s is clearly a favorite among Chama locals. The restaurant looks more like someone’s living room overcrowded with tables, chairs and miscellaneous knickknacks, but the food definitely fits into that ‘home cookin’ category. Perfect when you’re wanting to veer from the chains. The waitress was extremely nice and we were greeted by friendly faces all around. If you find yourself passing through this tiny town in New Mexico, make sure to save your appetite for JV’s.
