Great tender roast beef! My husband loved the crab cake sandwich too! We’ll be back someday! Kinda stinky outside tho… the only downside.

This may be the worst BBQ I’ve ever had in my life. After having Pit Beef at the beach and loving it, I was super excited to try this place. I went in around noon and looked at the very limited menu… no pit beef. This place is called«Blazing Bull Pit Beef.» I stayed open-minded though, there were other things on the menu I would like. I ordered a quarter slab of ribs and medium fries. I could hear them dropping the fries in the back, which was nice. The guy that came in after me also wanted ribs and was told they only had a half slab left. Nobody was cooking any more. Again… it was only noon. The place hadn’t been open for that long and wasn’t busy. The fries that I thought would be tasty, freshly dropped, were undercooked. They were soggy and sat like an unseasoned brick in my stomach. This was so disappointing because they were thick cut with some skin left on them, like boardwalk fries. However, that wasn’t the worst part of the meal… The«RIBS» were tiny and totally dry. At first I had to do a double take because they looked like a burnt piece of meat from an airline food tray. I couldn’t even see the bones on them. When I took a bite, they were SODRY that they just crunched in my mouth. Beef jerky has more moisture. I don’t even know how it’s possible to make ribs that bad. I’ll sum it up this way: every time I would drive by, I would wonder why a place that«sells pit beef» would ever have an empty parking lot. Now I know why.

I really don’t know much about pit beef, but I did enjoy what I ate from this place. It was beef sliced thin on a kaiser roll. The place is not very conspicuous from the road(it’s across from KFC). The fries are great. They drop them in when you order them. The sandwich is very good too. I have no complaints other than the wait(maybe it’s because of the fries being cooked fresh). There are a few sauces to put on your sandwich, including horse radish. The sandwich and fries cost me just under $ 10. Overall, I’d probably go back.

Chambersburg has needed a pit beef place for a long time, and now it has one. There is a good selection to choose from and the smell of the cooking meat outside will make you pass up the Regular(5oz) sandwich in favor of the Deluxe(½ lb) one. And since the huge but inexpensive orders of French fries are cooked in peanut oil, they taste like Thrasher’s Fries! I think this might be my new favorite place.
