Ollie’s is all about the thrill of the hunt and low prices. If you’re someone who likes well-organized, upkept stores, Ollie’s is not the place for you. Instead, they buy overstocks and closeouts and sell them at ridiculously low prices. This Ollie’s has a decent book selection, so it’s a nice place to browse for books. Their food section isn’t that large, but they have some good buys on canned and non-perishable items(just make sure to check the expiration dates). A lot of the electronics and small kitchen appliances they sell are refurbished, so I would probably avoid most of those. Ollie’s is all about selling stuff at low prices. On that end, they succeed.

Terrible customer service. Always long lines before calling for more help. Associates always standing around talking to each other and ignoring customers. Store is cramped and sloppy.

I like Ollie’s for finding useful items at low cost. The store itself is a little drab looking, and inside it’s not the best. Be prepared for dusty items on shelves! But it’s worth it when you find some items you normally buy, for half the cost. Ollie’s is great for rugs. They have hundreds of rugs from little door mats to large area rugs. They have rolled up carpet, outdoor rugs, and even really cushiony rugs. All located in the back of the store, and very inexpensive. You can sometimes find food or drink items here, just be sure to check the date. You can find name-brand cereal for a little bit of nothing. Same goes for snacks. I found all natural drink mixes that is a Target only brand, for just $.99 per box of 8. Date is fine for a year. I buy my pure vanilla extract at Ollies, a 7oz bottle for $ 3. That’s the kind of stuff you can find if you look! Ollies will often have some kind of buy-out of some random category of items. Cookware, food, tools, pet supplies, clothing, furniture, small appliances… it’ll be featured until it’s sold out. Some items may be repackaged, discontinued elsewhere, or a little off in some way, but should still be perfectly usable. I’ve bought cookware, books, art/office supplies, food, and more. They have a small collection of small furniture, but it’s very cheap looking. However, if you’re on a super tight budget, you can get a desk, end tables, bookshelves, or even a kitchen cart for a very small price. That can be great when you’re first out on your own and you have nothing and very little spending money. Ollie’s is great for garden supplies like pots and even patio chairs. They have huge ceramic pots for great prices. Way cheaper than anywhere else. Sunglasses are a great find here, I found a wonderful pair of Foster Grand brand sunglasses for $ 3.00. Not a scratch on them, fit well and look great. I don’t go to Ollie’s all that often, but every time I do I find something!
