Really good and authentic. Ate the guacamole, tamal, carne adobada, rellenito and everything was really great! Totally recommend it!

Stick to the native dishes, pupusas is really a salvadoreñan dish, they make the curtido and the sauce well, but not so much in the pupusas. I didn’t feel the warmth of the Guatemalan people either I had like 3 waitresses and they were all speedy Gonzales types, no time to even take my order right. Mind you it wasn’t packed it was dying down when I arrived. I ask for pupusas de chicharron no cheese just chicharrón. They brought me cheese pupusas, then I told the waitress to please bring me just chicharrón. I get chicharrón with cheese. By that time I didn’t care anymore and since I am not lactose intolerant I didn’t say anything else. It might have been nice if they were not rushing for nothing. Btw if you want chicken tamales arrive early.

To be clear: this is a Guatemalan restaurant — the cuisine is unique to the country and not at all Mexican or Americanized. Went there for a benefit dinner with Go Eat Give. Having been to Guatemala several times, I can say that the food is very good — fresh and authentic. In this dinner, they served the food as a buffet, which says a lot about the quality of the food. It was delicious. They served Pepián, which is chicken cooked in a sauce made from pumpkin seed and other spices. So good. They also had Jocón — pork cooked in a really tasty green sauce. With that they served volteados(refried black beans), rice with vegetables, vegetable chile rellenos and tostadas with beans and avocado. Again, all very authentic. The space is nice inside, spacious and tasteful with a very friendly and efficient staff. Can’t wait to go back.
