Rude Management. I would advise against anyone shopping at this store. I returned an item of clothing and indicated to the manager on site that I was angry that the ink tag was not taken off, and becuase of this I was unable to wear the item for the reason I purchased it. The manager berrated me and asked who it was that sold me the item. I had no idea and finally told her it was an average woman, and I had no idea how to tell her who it was, as I didn’t look at the woman’s nametag. When I continued that I didn’t know who helped me, and asked why this was important, the manager asked me sarcastically, «You never made a mistake huh?» The clerk that I puchased the item from came to the register, and I said, «You helped me the other night when I came in to buy this, right?» and pointed to the item the manager had in her hand. She nodded and I explained to her(the clerk) that she didn’t take the ink tag off and I was unable to wear the item. The clerk said nothing to me, and refused to look at me. Her attitude and lack of concern angered me and so I prompted her for an apology by saying to her, «Um, you could say, I’M SORRY!?». She finally mustered a half-assed ‘sorry’, and the manager turned to her employee and said, «Please go to the back. She has been rude to me since she came in.» Wait — when is it considered rude to explain that your unhappy about the service you received? I had not raised my voice, I was not cussing, and I was not pounding my fist on the counter, but I WAS taking my time to return to the store a second time unnecessarily. I was ultimately told by the manager, «And you can call corporate if you want, I don’t care!» as she pointed to her nametag. Hey, I work with the public, and I can honestly say, I would never encourage anyone to contact our ‘corporate office’. This is just stupid. By the way, I didn’t have my receipt with me and the idiot manager took the ink tag off the item of clothing(even though I told her I wanted my money back in advance.) After taking the tag off and telling me she would only give me $ 12 back(I paid $ 31.50) I took the item back and stormed out of the store… to call corporate of course. I’ve been thinking, someone could actually shoplift items from this store. Then, they could take them back(without a receipt) and complain about the clerk being stupid and not removing it. Then the manager would take the ink tag off the item(all the while without proof of purchase) and you could leave with the item! DUH!
