I NEVER got the food. The delivery person and the manager were both very rude and stubborn. They refused to come upstairs although I tipped them as a nice gesture. They said they were too busy. ANDANDAND The manager said he would blacklist me from ordering from them if I don’t come upstairs to get the food in which I paid for including tips. This is basically how the conversation went: Manager:“Our delivery staff is busy and it’s cold outside. So I told him to not come upstairs. Me:“Our building lets other delivery people go through. I don’t understand why you won’t let him come upstairs. I made a nice gesture and I tipped. And you know people normally don’t tip.“ Manager:“Sir, I don’t want to waste my time. I’ve been there and it takes 25 minutes to get up there.“ Then I hang up.

Ordered delivery on a quiet Sunday evening. I used GrubHub which was convenient and easy. The order was delivered promptly in 45 minutes and was exactly what we ordered, so no issues there. We ordered a large(14″) pizza with sausage and green peppers. I was a little put off by the added cost of the toppings. The sausage cost $ 2.50 and the green pepper also cost $ 2.50. If I were to add only a couple more toppings, the cost of our pizza would have been $ 10 in toppings alone, which seems odd. Our pizza still cost $ 23 not including tip. It was enough food for the two of us but by no means a good value or deal. I’m usually one to use coupons but there were none to be found on GrubHub or in my mail. The pizza itself wasn’t bad. Vinny’s does make a pretty textbook east-coast style ‘za. Thin, soft crust that you have to fold to eat properly. It was perhaps a little greasy and in my opinion lacking sauce. The amount of sausage seemed a little skimpy, and the sausage they used didn’t seem that great. I could hardly taste them because they were so small. In my experience, good sausage adds an entire complex of flavor to a pizza, this didn’t really do that and some slices had only a couple pieces on them. I just thought it was a little underwhelming for an over $ 232-topping, 14″ pizza. Back home, I can get a bigger, thicker pizza with higher-quality ingredients at a comparable price. In my opinion Antonio’s is the best place around C-U for East coast style pizza. I would try again with a coupon or deal.

Vinny’s describes themselves as an East Coast Pizzeria, and that’s an apt description. They have lots of fold over New York style slices with gourmet styling. I really do think their pizza is pretty good. Lots of interesting options. The slices are huge, but good luck having enough of your favorite fountain beverage to wash it down. Sadly, you see, their large drink is 20 ounces(hello 1970s McDonalds!) with no refills included for $ 1.75. If you do want a refill, they’ll charge you an additional $ 0.75. If you have need of more than the requisite 20 oz drink, you might consider bringing your own.

Perfectly good, east-coast style pizza – e.g., foldable and with some chew to it – not a cracker crust. My family would disagree, but I find them sometimes too salty, possibly because of the cheese they use? So I prefer toppings that don’t add salt – like red onion. Very happy to have them in town.

Slices not bad, made good for years on a physical location that struggled to keep a successful business. Always seems clean.

I’m gluten & dairy free so I’m technically not even supposed to be eating here, but it was so worth it. So many options, friendly staff, and outstanding east coast pizza. I couldn’t recommend Vinny’s more.

Their deep dish pizza was an atrocity. Almost all crust, minimal toppings and cheese that conveniently stuck to the roof of the pizza box. Whatever their bread twists with cheese were supposed to be, they were hard, and unflavorful. We also asked for italian dressing and got ranch. I will not order from here again. Very disappointing for my first pizza in Champaign and trying to order local…

Always had good pizza from here — it’s a NY style and they have everything from your basic pizza toppings to more exotic topping combos as well. You can also buy their fresh dough if you are feeling like making a pizza at home. Delicious!

Pretty meh. I won’t make a habit of coming here. Eat this pizza just makes me miss really good pizza I used to get back in AZ before I moved to uc.

The Good: –We ordered a 14″ thin crust cheese pizza with roma tomatoes and fresh basil. It was really good! However, the thin crust wasn’t quite sturdy enough to hold the two toppings we had, but it was delicious. –The delivery was pretty quick, only about 45 minutes(with bad driving weather)! The Meh: –We also got an order of garlic knot. They were okay, not bad at all, but just okay. The Bad: –Nothing. Overall, the basil and tomatoes were obvious fresh and delicious! We will definitely be ordering from them.

I think it’s the best pizza in town. They accept all coupons, so I always get a good deal. Quality high, Price reasonable, and made real quick. You never get all three anywhere, but these guys do. Drive thru is also very convenient. Definitely recommend! Try their avocado quesadilla, it’s my favorite.

This quickly became my boyfriend & my favorite spot for pizza delivery! Every time we feel lame for ordering from the same place constantly and try a new spot, we are disappointed and swear all over again to stick to Vinny’s pizza! We have also experimented with their Greek salad, Philly cheesesteak, calzones, mozzarella sticks, & garlic knots. All of which were so good! I highly recommend you check this place out. Yum! Also, I feel like I have to address the bad reviews… I’ve never felt discriminated against when I’ve eaten in and the pizza is sometimes so fresh that it’s too hot to eat even when delivered in the middle of this negative degree weather! These people should really give Vinny’s another shot!

I like this place a lot. The pizza is solid and the guys who work here are really nice. The prices are also very reasonable. The guy who said there’s an «anti-gringo» vibe is either delusional or racist himself, and the guy who hung out in the place for two hours to check on whether they threw out everything they didn’t sell. well I’m just kind of concerned about him. Anyway, do we really need businesses to throw out 5 pizzas for no good reason in a country that already throws away half of its food?

They really came off as racist the last time I was there. The pizza had to have been there for a very long time. My past visits had been great but the anti gringo vibe I got will stop me from giving them a second chance.

This place specializes in reheated pizza. They have a sign now that says all pizza they serve has been made within the last two hours. But, I ate their one evening, and sat there for 2 hours. During that entire time, they only remade one of the 6 half-pizzas that were sitting out. If you ask what is fresh, they always tell you that everything is fresh. My next question is what do they have that doesn’t need to be reheated in a microwave or toaster oven. They usually suggest something, but then tell me that it needs another«5 minutes» before it is ready. The place is a joke. If you want real NY style pizza, you are in the wrong town. I’m giving them a second star only because I know of no other NY style pizza places in town.

Has become our fave. Thin crust is like being in NYC. Delivery always prompt. Finally– a place in Chambana that has pizza with a great crust, ingredients that have flavor, and cooked perfectly.

Being from the east coast(CTREPRESENT!) I can honestly say that this is the closest thing you’re gonna get to the good old pizza from back home.

This is the best Pizza I have had since high school! Giant slices, super thin and chewy, not the hard crunchy nonsense everywhere else in town gives you!
