The setup is confusing at first, so pay attention. There are lots of berries and they make sure they’re not going to set you somewhere that’s already been picked over. Arrive right at 8am(or whenever they decide to open) — there is a line. All the time. Just the nature of the game. Check the website before you go. If there aren’t enough ripe berries, they’re not going to open that day. If a ton of people come in the morning, they’re not going to be open that evening(and might close early). In my experience, don’t expect anyone to answer the phone. But still. Wonderful berries at a pretty low cost.

Berry picking is so fun, and relaxing. We went on a day with a nice breeze so it was comfortable. We arrived at 8am on a Tuesday and there was about a line of 20 cars ahead of us. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place on a weekend, whew! After us came many more, I was surprised at how crowded it was for a Tuesday! We got situated nicely and there were some nice people in the rows next to us. Very pleasant experience, and the kids who work here are all just very sweet, good kids. It was nice that they had it running so specifically, so you didn’t get assigned to an area that was picked over. We picked 6 trays of overflowing delicious, quality strawberries and I can’t wait to make myself sick eating all the jam :) The only hiccup was that the main guy was a little anal about the whole process(admittedly this results in the happy experience I explained above). People started driving in, and parking in open spots(no one had told them to do any different, they were just nice folks confused), and he was snarky and got angry with them. When they were offended and said, fine, we can just leave, he said«no, you are already here, we’ll find something for you» — I understand why they ended up leaving. It was pretty rude when the customers hadn’t done anything wrong. And the poor little boy with them was bawling his eyes out saying«I don’t want to leave.» — reminded me of that Seinfeld soup episode. Anyhow, everyone was really friendly to us. Great berries!

This place is terrible. The line of cars to get in at 8 am Saturday morning was over 70 cars deep. We decided to park our car in a legal place on the street and walk in. Once we walked to the entrance we understood why there was a 70 car deep line that appeared not to be moving. The lady at the entrance was stopping each and every car and having a several minute conversation with them(I am assuming going over the picking rules with them). Why wouldn’t you let people park first them explain picking procedures in groups of people? The lady at the entrance told us that we couldn’t walk in even if we were legally parked. There was no sign stating this. And she was extremely rude when explaining this. This is a poorly managed operation that isn’t customer friendly. The workers are interest in exercising their control over customers and not actual customer service. I cannot imagine how long people waiting in line to pick berries… I will never visit this place again! I took my business to Berry Hill Farm was very pleased with the customer service, quality of berries and there was no line!

Nothing beats fresh picked berries(strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) in season. They taste even better when you do the work to pick your own. Clean, tidy and popular.
