Cub Foods

I have been going to this store for almost 20 years and I am getting a little disturbed with their meat department and deli. I have to check every package in the meat department to make sure it has not already expired and the kretschmar meat line really has to go. I like Angus Beef but I like to add my own spices, not buy someone else’s idea of what Roast Beef should taste like. Just went to Target and they stopped selling that brand and now have two brands to choose from. I went with Archer Farms because I could actually taste the beef. At 11.99 a pound you would think they would understand that some of us actually don’t like the brand they are selling. Would like to see a change in that.

I’ve been here twice. The first time the entire women’s bathroom was flooded, literally under water. I understand things happen and things break but they didn’t even have it signed at the door or better yet closed.
The second time, was a Sunday morning around 8:30 AM. Most of that week’s ad sales were not updated on the shelves and much of the food had not yet been stocked. At the check out, i handed the gal our coupons, she quickly spouted back that one didn’t work. Asked why, she responded but i have no idea what she said, I couldn’t understand a word. So after walking out of the store I double checked the receipt and found that my husband had picked up the wrong cheese and that’s with the coupon didn’t work. The customer service desk doesn’t open till 9:00 and so I stopped a manager in the front entry and asked her for help. The manager was rude and highly unprofessional. I encountered two other check out people during the return, while both were very nice one had absolutely no clue what he was doing and had me go stand in another very long line to get help from someone who may know how to help me.
Cub has some great prices but the whole shopping experience seems like one that would be comparable to shopping at Walmart.

Clean and well-​stocked store, but what really stands out is the employees. Nearly all employees at this store are friendly, outgoing and professional.
