Just awful! Ordered early lunch time on a Monday so we expected fresh, good food. Everything tasted of old burnt oil. Greasy tasteless yuck! Will not be back. Egg rolls burnt and tasteless, lo mein so greasy it won’t stay on your plate. We ordered vegetable lo mein that had 2 Pea pods and 4 carrot pieces in the entire box. Greasy lumpy fried rice wreaked of old grease and burnt pieces of what was supposed to be pork. $ 40 worth of slop. Never again! Wish I would have waited for Ming Tree to open for the day!!!

The lunch buffet is inexpensive and tasty however the selection is incredibly limited. I’ve been here during lunch a few times and the same couple dishes were served each time. As far as dinner goes, the menu is noticeably larger and the few dishes I’ve tried, I’ve had no complaints. The owner/host is really friendly and it has always been quieter/slow when I’ve gone. This is a good place to go if you are looking to be in and out seamlessly.

If I wanted to be totally honest, and comparing this restaurant to the best Chinese restaurants out there, then my star rating would be considerably reduced. However, there are various layers of Chinese restaurants nowadays, and not all of them should be rated the same way. There are those that are so authentic and just cater to a specific provincial cuisine of China. There are those that are the high end kind, that serve imperial type dinner. There are those who are fusion, mixed with other Asian cuisines such as Thai and Japanese, etc. There are those who are re-invented to be hip and trendy like PF Changs and Big Bowls of the world. There are fast food like LeAnn Chin and Panda Express. Enjoy China has their own category too. Their category is «the mom and pop watered down Chinese food catering to a mainstream audience who believe this is how Chinese food taste like.» I would also call them«Chop suey joint» or «Chinese take out place you see people eat late at night on cop shows.» If I saw Jack McCoy from Law and Order eating late at night with chop sticks from a take out box, at times it made me wanting some Chinese food. However, I wouldn’t want those authentic one. I would want Enjoy China and ordered something like«subgum lo mein» or «egg foo yung.» You wouldn’t really find anything subgum or chop suey at an authentic place. BUT, there’s a time and place where a place like Enjoy China serves its purpose for me. I always want a lo mein after watching TV when people eating Chinese take out, or when I’m sick. Usually when I’m sick, I wanted something easy to get and this place happened to be convenient. I also am less critical about taste when my palette is out of whack. I came here several times and I had been happy with it. Like I said, there’s no use talking about the food because people who like this type of food would like it, and people who knew better, wouldn’t. I happened to know better but I didn’t mind this place once in a great while. So, the argument is not really about the food. The foods aren’t horrible but it is not the most authentic or out of this world great. Therefore, just make sure you keep your expectation in check. Like I said, it serves its purpose in the big world of Chinese food. I have never dined in, and always did take out. It was pretty fast, and the lady that took the order has been always pleasant. It was pretty quick also to get your food. They seem to have a lunch buffet, but not that I would try. If you ever crave to eat Chinese take out from the box, this is the place you can get your fix. I gave them three stars as they serve my purpose, and I would like to support local business in my community. They run a good business and give fast service. If you want something authentic that will blow your mind, this is not the place so don’t bash them for it. My three stars stand as they fulfilled my desire one way or another.

Avoid this place unless you want to waste precious time out of your life twiddling your thumbs. I waited OVERANHOUR for my TAKEOUT food while I was SITTINGTHERE. There were several other patrons also waiting for their food who were vocal about their frustration. I asked what the delay was and was told it would be out soon. Finally I gave up and left without my food. This was at 7:30 pm on a weeknight.

The food here is surprisingly good. We’ve eaten here a few times and always been happy with our food. Tonight we had tangerine beef and Moo Shoo pork– both were very tasty. I’d recommend this place for some good take-out.
