Great location, ambiance, service and prices! Did I mention prices and service? Fabulous!

Decent food, decent service, decent atmosphere. Didn’t do a whole lot for me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to go back there either.

My friend’s favorite breakfast place… And I can definitely see why. I love the cute little diner setting and the staff was friendly. I tried the pancakes/eggs/sausage the first time I was here but their Ham & Cheese Skillet is just AMAZING! I will definitely be back for brunch next time I am in town!

I had Melissa’s benedict, husband had French toast, the kids had Micky Mouse pancake’s and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was the hit! Everyone wanted more. The topping was handmade and delicious!

Bar none my favorite place for breakfast. Lunch is tasty but limited. Denver omelette and hollandaise sauce is to die for. Big portions. Friendly service, and if you are in more than once or twice they will probably remember your order. For comes out quick. I mostly go there with the excuse of working…

Eggs Benedict all day everyday. This place would do well if it was a 24 hour diner or had a drive thru. Where I spent the majority of my mornings skipping class.

I like to support local restaurants; I am not a fan of big corporate places. That being said I think the service here is good. The food is okay as well as the prices –nothing stands out for me. I can make breakfast better at home which is why I enjoy going to Minneapolis and finding hidden nooks that do wonders at signature items.

Wonderful experience! Real poaches eggs. Crispy not burnt hash browns. Golden brown toasted English muffin. Rich maple bacon. Ketchup offered straight from the refrigerator. Cozy atmosphere. Food arrived fairly quick. I maybe showed up just after the packed house all received their food. There is a diner countertop for folk who don’t need an entire table. Soap dispenser in lavatory is a «foaming». Did I mention they keep their ketchup CHILLED. Although… I’m not certain why there is a fully decorated Christmas tree in the corner of the room.

This is our neighborhood café. Awesome home cooked meals, friendly and hardworking staff. We love it!

Pretty top notch breakfast joint – in my top 5 in the north metro. The service is efficient and friendly, though a few servers have less personality than I’d prefer. I’ve been here a few times now and I must say that the food has been well above average each time. Today I had Melissa’s Favorite Eggs Benedict, which is an interesting take on the standard; cream cheese, bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise over English muffins. Great flavor combo. Sweet, salty, and delicious! That and a pot of coffee got my 4th of July started off with a bang. In order to be a regular, you must show up regularly. This is what I plan to do.

I’d give it more of 3 ½ stars if I could. Good food overall. I usually get the big 2(french toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage). Although I’ve tried some of their specialty items as well. All of the food is good, but nothing about Hudy’s sets itself apart from anywhere else. Key’s Café has their amazing Italian sausage, and homemade bread for their french toast. Fat Nat’s has amazing huevos rancheros. Bringing in some dishes that would set Hudy’s apart from other breakfast restaurants would be awesome. At this point it’s good food, but nothing stands out that makes me say, «wow that was amazing.» Maybe some made from scratch items could help bring Hudy’s to the next level. Not that they have any problems with business, but just imagine if they brought the menu to the next level.

Did I just eat my momma’s eggs? :) The only thing I have to complain about is that sometimes I have to wait in line…

If you don’t like this place you simply aren’t a breakfast person. I have been there several times and the food is always good and the staff friendly and attentive. I have tried their new dinner/bar just once. Our sandwiches were great and the staff just as great as the breakfast people

I really like this place! It’s a small restaurant with really good breakfast food. The servers are always friendly and prompt with coffee refills, and every meal I’ve ordered has been tasty. It’d be nice if they were open later — they close pretty early in the afternoon. My favorite thing: the eggs. De-lish! :)

Warm and comfortable ambiance. Was very busy when we walked in. After we were seated came the big lunch rush. The line was out the door. Tried the pan cakes which were very good. They’re big cakes, fluffy, slightly salty which balances well with butter and syrup.

It is not a chain, It is close to home and the people who run it are very nice. The food is good but I wish they would take a vacation in the South so they could learn what good biscuits and gravy should taste like. Not that theirs is much worse than all the other places I’ve tried in MN. My guess is that if they did get it right I’d bet the only customer that would know it. I shouldn’t have to drive 600 miles for good biscuits and gravy!

So today I waited in line to get into a breakfast place. Outside. INFEBRUARY!!! Was I at Al’s Breakfast where this sort of thing is routine? No, I was at Hudy’s café. What was the allure I wondered? The pankcakes? The eggs? The people? I had to find out. Fortunately for my wife and I our wait outside was only a few minutes. Total time to seating was less than 30 minutes. We lucked out in that there were several large groups in the queue and we were only 2. The place itself reminds me of Fat Nats in Brooklyn park, only with more windows. After being seated and looking over the menu, I chose Melissa’s Benedict. As Ben D notes here, it is a Bacon/Cream Cheese variant of the original. I opted for hash browns on the side. My wife got the same(with American Fries). While we waited the coffee refills were friendly and frequent. I am such a coffee sponge that this is a plus for me. Melissa picked wisely. This Benedict is delicious. Hashbrowns were also good. Because I am picky, my only quibble(as with Fat Nats) is the hollandaise. It would be so much better if made from scratch. Certainly not a deal killer. This place has some good chow. So what was the allure? A comfortable place where you can have a nice breakfast with your family.

My partner and I met up with family to have breakfast here today and I must say, outside of the café near my cabin I have NEVER had eggs benedict quite like this! I had what they called«Melissa’s Favorite Eggs Benedict» where they make it with cream cheese smeared on english muffins, topped with bacon, a poached egg, and hollandaise sauce. It is an amazingly delicious meal and at only $ 8 you seriously can’t go wrong! Endless coffee, an interestingly rustic look, and all the smells you can possibly handle! This was honestly the best of the best as far as I am concerned as I typically do not eat breakfast, but when I can I enjoy every second of it. I really look forward to going back out there for another breakfast sometime soon, it’s a bit of a drive though so make sure you beat the church rush!
